USB 2.0 devices will always be called "high speed". If you want the faster transfer rate of USB 3.0, be sure your computer spec and also the device are labeled "Super Speed".
I feel like now that USB 3.0 is out, calling USB 2.0 devices "high-speed" is false advertisement. Buyer be warned, if you have a computer which supports USB 3.0 and a USB 3.0-compliant device, it will not run at maximum speed using this adapter.
