is this any good for casual basement playing with friends?

Yea, I just ordered one. Looks good for the casual player.

Edit: Here are some reviews. About what you would expect for the price.

I would advise getting a 2 piece table if you are going to play for any of length time longer than say.... 3 seconds.

@trendkill7577: As I saw in some reviews, the four pieces means each side comes in two as well and there is a huge seem which the ball bounces off in funky ways.

I just put a similar one together. I got it off of craigsist for $95, which seemed like a great deal. It was a sportcraft with a digital score display, but very similar to this one. Somehow the guy had gotten a hold of a few of them on clearance at Target for $35. I think they retail for well over $200. The four piece deck is mostly so that the box isn't a 5' x 5' box. The seam is pretty flat and then you put tape over it. Not too much of an issue for decent rec room/basement setup.

@dainethemain: Sure it is, I just checked :)

@deathopie I just returned that same model to Target. The bloody thing fell apart after a month or so, the second time it got used. One of the legs pulled right out, as did a handle.

It's probably fine if you don't move it around too much, but the MDF is pretty low quality. Those connections are NOT overly secure.

4 piece tables are absolutely the worse!!!
