Actually, the latest news via the ME and Bioware Facebook pages is that it has been pushed back to early 2012.

More importantly, if you happen to be a ps3 only owner, like me, and haven't played thru Mass Effect 1, its on sale for only $5. I am downloading it as we speak. I personally don't care that my choices won't carry over from the pc into the Ps3 versions of Mass Effect 2 & 3, its just nice to have the opportunity to play thru it for the original story alone at a really cheap price. I am also hearing a lot of places that the pc version of Mass Effect 1 is the best version.

Bioware's PR makes them out to be a bunch of arrogant jerks, however this is a fantastic series that weaves a dynamic and epic narrative through a cast of varied and interesting characters.

The game is two times better if you buy all the DLC, but you have to spend another 20 bucks...

Apparently Steam doesn't realize that today is Friday, this is the EA deal for Thursday and the Friday deal hasn't come out yet.

@mongoosemuffin: There was a massive Verizon(?) outage yesterday which affected over 6000 major web sites, so Steam may be trying to make up for that period.

But the main problem I have with these Steam "deals" is that while the game prices are good, they always kill you with tax and bloated shipping costs.
