If it's really Bluetooth, wouldn't it be for all devices? What specifically makes it for Apple devices? Isn't the purpose of Bluetooth technology to be a congruent standard for short-distance wireless technologies? All the protocols and media controls should be compatible with compliant devices, otherwise it is noncompliant. Bluetooth should move us away from proprietary tech, not towards it. So, will this work with my Android?
Yes, it will work with any device that supports A2DP on Bluetooth 2.0+, which is basically anything in the last three years, maybe even longer. Companies add "For iPod" and the like to make iDevice owners think it's a "premium accessory" for their "premium device".
Well, according to this video (@ 1:35), the music controls will not work with the iphone: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXxJ5Oe-XPQ
Great price compared to market, but this doesn't tickle my fancy.
All functions work with my iPhone 4 running iOS 5
Bought one of these a few weeks ago when it was on as a sponsored deal.
Quite happy with the purchase for $100. Marked just under $300, but I hardly believe they're worth that much.
I'd give it a 4/5 stars.
Sound quality is great. Bass is kind of lacking, but expected. I've changed my style from more rock to rap anyway, and metal sounds great on these. Rap/hip hop not as good
Comfort is lacking. For a short period of time (maybe an hour tops?) they're quite comfortable, but for long hours on the computer (gaming for example) they just squish the hell out of your ears and make you want to take them off.
These are definitely more of a travel type of headphone, for an hour + plane trip, at the airport, etc. They can easily be folded up and fit in my zip up hoodie pocket which is nice.
I recommend them for $99. Just know what you're getting into. Decent all around headphones worth exactly this price.
