Lightning-Fast, Auto-Assist Knife Set for $9.99 + 4.99 shipping
Lightning fast? You think that’s really necessary? I mean, it’s a nice feature but c’mon. Overkill much? No? Alright, cool. You’re the guy with the knife.
Completely disregard the mistake with the free knives from 2011, Here were some quotes from a previous BUDK Sponsor deal:
@viper89: In terms of service, no issue from the 3 times I have ordered and their product are rather poor quality and more in the "beater" category.
@mattryan said: 49 complaints, B rating from BBB. Not going to risk my money on them.
@walkingsnake said: Many cases can be turned up with just a Google search, not just the knives. Site is well known for deleting bad product reviews on its website, as well. Generally untrusted in the sword enthusiast community (yes, that exists.)
Forum thread with complaints:
@dslocum: BE WARNED, this is a garbage company with horrific customer service.

For The Record: The issue we had with the free knives debacle wasn't that they didn't deliver the knives. It was that they Canceled the orders and kept us on their spam list
I bought this exact knife set from them a couple weeks ago when Woot had a no-limits free shipping deal posted for them. It was the same 9.99, but no shipping. Very pleased with the knives for 5 each shipped... dunno if I would have jumped for the deal at the current price. I've only been using the smaller one of the two, but so far, I'm quite glad I bought it.
I've bought from BudK before. Basically, I expect low-end for the low prices and get exactly what I'm expecting with the occasional pleasant surprise.
@cowboydann: i was planning on shopping there 3 weeks ago, but on woot, i keep hearing that they are bad, so i always avoid them, even though id like a knives
Tired of antisemitic Nazi stuff.
I just called Kbud and had them take me off their catalog list about a week ago. Why? Well I understand guy's who like to dress up like WWII soldiers and reenact great battles etc. So I was OK with the Nazi stuff on tons of knifes, belts etc. I don't like it but I see the point.
What finally made me feel the were just making money from selling to the SKIN HEAD crowd was their lighters. Two of them with the Nazi symbol on them. The people who buy those are just going to be majority white supremacist. That's when I decided not to give my business to a company making money off 6 million dead Jews. Also we (Allied powers) beat the Nazi's and a lot of American soldiers died for the cause, if those men could speak what would they say?
Also why don't KBUD sell tons of WWII Japanese stuff?
I told the lady on the phone this, her response "sir we get this response a lot, ". Then she took me off their list.
I bought these for some friends at work (well, same knife that said patriot and "Don't Tread On Me" on the blade) a few weeks ago when they ran a buy one get one sale on them. Most were fine, but 3 of the 10 I got did not open with a spring assist, or the blade was so loose it wobbled around. I never did call to return them... need to do that I suppose.
I bought the knife set the last time it was offered. They are so small that you could not break a drinking glass, let alone auto glass!! The seat belt cutter is good only for twine - totally misrepresented.
As an Italian, I have the natural ability to pull a knife out and open it pretty quickly-- so this feature is pretty useless to me.
Pass.
Shipping comes up as $7.99, making it almost double the price. Not worth it.
