Gonna take my kids first thing in the morning and maybe pick up all three

vote-for1vote-against

Also apparently the Band Bundles will be $30.

vote-for2vote-against

@bonoman: Where do you see that? If that's true, that would be fantastic!!

vote-for1vote-against

i took advantage the first time around but still in a debate over tax

vote-for2vote-against

It's gonna suck when SlickDeals gets ahold of this.

vote-for3vote-against

Should be just tax on $10 this time since it's not a coupon deal, plus this makes walmart and best buy price matching easy.

vote-for2vote-against

Anybody know if I still have one from the $14.99 coupon can I bring it in a get the price adjusted to the $9.99 price.

Also saves me lots on taxes if it works.

vote-for2vote-against

Just got the TRU email. Band bundles for $30 confirmed.

vote-for2vote-against

Guitar Hero sold out?? - It is no longer listed on the site when you go to purchase it! -....woke up late

vote-for1vote-against

@alexmg2420: it's confirmed in the new circular! Thanks @mweber1137

vote-for1vote-against

My Toys R Us only had (for the Wii console) the DJ Hero Turntable 2-Pack, which I happily bought for the price.

The also had other games for PS3 and X360. I didn't see any of the band pack sales that were previously mentioned.

vote-for1vote-against

I just picked up the PS3 Warrior of Rock bundle for $30. It comes with the drums, guitar microphone and software.

vote-for1vote-against

They don't have any Guitar Hero bundles or Band Hero at any of the Orlando area stores :-/

They said that Toys R Us is planning to get rid of the bundles that include the hardware in store, and is planning to sell them online only as in store-sales for these are slow, since most people already have a guitar or the equipment.

Most Toys R Us stores only had products for Wii but I couldn't find any Guitar Hero anywhere!

My girlfriend was lucky enough to find them in her neck of the woods and got a Band Hero for 30 bucks :)

Good luck searching, I would recommend calling the stores before even bothering to go there!

vote-for1vote-against

@jyoz22: I know, I want the games, but can't find the hardware anywhere! Can't even buy them used anymore!

vote-for1vote-against

Also, from previously working for Walmart, they will price match any ADVERTISED price of a retail store (not online, but local). So check your walmarts for these deals, as they have to price match.

vote-for1vote-against

I bought 2 guitar heroes and a DJ Hero w/2 turntables for a total of 30 bucks.

vote-for0vote-against

@phydeaux8635: This is true, but sometimes I heard that they check to make sure that the product is in stock at the competitor's location if its not they wont honor it.

Also, I Block Buster's price match policy excludes ads which state that there are "limited quantities." Unfortunately, the Toys R Us ad states that quantities are limited in its disclaimer text.

vote-for1vote-against

This deal is probably bullsit. I ordered one of the bundles a couple weeks ago from them, they told me it was backordered. Then about a week ago they said they would not fulfill the order and it go cancelled.

vote-for1vote-against

@chrisfaithalin:

The southeast Michigan stores have lots of bundles, but no Tony Hawk or Guitar Hero for $10.

vote-for1vote-against

@chrisfaithalin: I picked up Band Hero for $30 from my Toys r Us after they opened. There were two other dudes there, one got a PS3 Warriors of Rock for $10 (wish I had a PS3) and the other got a copy of Band Hero for the PS2. Unfortunately they said the Rise of the Six String was still full priced even though they put it in a bin with the other games on sale. :(

vote-for1vote-against

@davidbertram: Got 2 Tony Hawks (PS3), 2 DJ Hero 1 double packs (1 PS3, 1 Wii). Not a bad deal. Was hoping for a Guitar Hero, but the guy before me got the last one.

vote-for1vote-against

Went to 3 different locations today all within 15 miles of each other. The first had a bunch of Band Hero Bundles for all systems, but not much else. The second literally had NOTHING except PS2 titles. Finally at the third I found what I was looking for. They had about 5 Warriors of Rock band bundles for PS3 and Xbox 360. Along with even a few Rock Band Beatles bundles. It's amazing how much the inventory can vary from store to store.

vote-for2vote-against

On another note, did any get the print ad in their newspaper today? Out in California I have talked to half a dozen relatives and the ad was missing from everyone's newspaper. I just want the add for price matching reasons.

vote-for2vote-against

My brother said he was able to get Wal-mart to price match just by bringing the deal up on his iPhone. They have a ton more inventory, especially with the Guitar bundles and the newer titles. It took like 30 minutes of waiting for the manager to approve it, but they didn't call local TRUs to check inventory like previously suggested.

vote-for1vote-against

I just picked up DJ Hero 2 for 360. I went to the section where they had the tony hawk ride games and they had a few of those left, I was about to be upset then I saw a bunch of DJ Hero's near the front. I remember right before Christmas i was considering buying the DJ Hero 1 for 40 dollars. Now Im glad that I didn't even do that.

vote-for1vote-against

Went to 3 Toys R Us in the San Diego area today. All 3 were sold out of everything. I just went to Wal-Mart to price match. They had several DJ Hero 2 for all platforms. The manager was hesitant and the cashier was in shock, but I walked out with a DJ Hero 2 bundle for $9.99.

vote-for2vote-against

@mweber1137: Wow Lucky! I went to my local Best Buy and they had one copy left of Warriors of Rock for Xbox! When I went up the two chick cashiers had a fit over the price looking for ANY REASON NOT to match the price! 1st was oh the ad doesn't say Xbox! I was like OMG so they had to call & yes they asked Toys R Us 3x are u sure it's $29.99? YES! Then they were like OK well we need the manager to approve for this kinda money! Then this little 5' 4" prick came over & I just KNEW this guy was gonna be a KILLJOY! He called back the Toys R Us and asked if it was in stock and was told that they had just SOLD OUT the Xbox, & only had WII/PS3 THE PRICK SMILED & said SORRY showing me the Price Match Policy invoking the little "in stock" technicality! Grr! I said COME ONE WHY DO U HAVE TO BE SUCH A DIIK! U know this is what Toys R Us is selling it for! Urgh It took everything I had not to punch him or kick him the nuts! So yeah its YMMV! Forget it if u get a douche for a Mgr FORGET IT!

vote-for1vote-against

HA! Poor Walmart had to price match this time. They wouldn't when they were $15, but I had a printout of the store circular and they couldn't get out of it. Didn't see anything in my TRU so I had to go to Walmart- they didn't call or anything.

vote-for0vote-against

@girlbytes: THING IS! I JUST KNOW ONE OF THESE TOOL EMPLOYEES THERE ARE GONNA PRICE MATCH IT THEMSELVES & HAVE A FRIEND/RELATIVE BUY IT! WHY ITS PROLLY @ HOME W/ THEM NOW! I'M PRAYING THAT ASSIST MANAGER GETS METASTATIC TESTICULAR CANCER IN HIS LIFETIME! YES! I REALLY DO! I bought the PS3 version @ Toy R us & then ran over to Walmart and exchanged it for XBOX cuz I didn't even wanna get into another price match death match! Urgh I hate short little jerks on a power trip! I mean REALLY he acted like it was coming outta his wallet!

vote-for1vote-against

@mweber1137: In Colorado Springs here too- no ads in the paper OR in the store.O one cashier at TRU said they usually have 1 box of ads per register. Then some other person said they don't even carry them in the store... Um...there is a rack for holding them right there!

vote-for1vote-against

Yea from what I understand that Toys R Us didn't send any Newspaper ads out this week to the stores or in the newspaper. I got really lucky yesterday and ended up getting 3 out of 3 walmarts to price match them. First store matched the email marketing for the super bundle and the other 2 took a print out of the weekly ad surprisingly. I ended up with 1 PS3 Super Bundle, 2 PS3 guitar bundles, and 2 360 bundles. I am pretty sure every Walmart has been informed of this by corporate this morning and probably put a halt to approving the price matches, but good luck to anyone trying!

vote-for2vote-against

Love this deal, i live in nyc and i got the Worriers of rock bundle, Dj hero 2 party bundle, and Tony hawk :D 55 dollars

vote-for1vote-against

Picked up The Beatles Limited Edition bundle at my local TRU for $30. Had no intention of getting it, just wanted to see if the sale was true. Wifey was okay with it so picked it.

vote-for1vote-against

@girlbytes: Looks like El Hordo was foiled again.

vote-for2vote-against

At this point most stores will be out of the DJ Hero 2-packs and the DJ Hero Renegade packs. People are tearing this deal up, most seem to be posting on ebay or craigslist. The store I work at, 9234, only has DJ Hero 1 single packs, Tony Hawk, and the band bundles left

vote-for1vote-against

Me and a couple buddies just got the Guitar Hero band bundle and DJ Hero from Toys-R-Us, then went and price-matched DJ Hero 2 at Wal-Mart. We each payed $50 for 3 games, two turntables, and a full band setup. This was THE BEST Woot deal I have seen.

vote-for1vote-against

I came home from this deal 130 bucks lighter though only 70 of it was at toys r us got Beatles Rock Band (the one other than Band Hero left for band bundles) DJ hero 1 party pack, Warriors of Rock Guitar Pack. Also left with an awesome Blinky (pacman) listening to headphones shirt, and a Mass Effect 2 Wallet not sure why I bought that. Afterwards I went to TJ Maxx which I've never been to and lost the other 60 bucks. Great deal. Now I'll be gone for a while while I pick up overtime to fund my horrible horrible shopping addiction.

vote-for1vote-against

I had to go to 2 toys r us stores yesterday to pick up a copy of Guitar Hero 5. Great deal. Kinda wish I had a spare 30 bucks so I could pick up band hero.

vote-for1vote-against

I'm mostly after Tony Hawk. When the first one (Ride?) was announced a few years ago I thought it was cool, but not worth $100.

$10 is different. If Toys R Us is out, I have Best Buy, Walmart, and Target within a half-mile radius to try.

vote-for1vote-against

@pohatu771: Tony Hawk Shred was all sold out near me, but I did go to Big Lots yesterday and they are selling them for all 3 systems for $20. I got one and I hope this helps.

vote-for1vote-against

just spent an hour at walmart repeating the mantra "we will honor our competitor's advertised price" to the manager. She kept saying "but our price is this and their price is that" to which I repeated the above. Finally got warriors of rock guitar bundle, no joy on dj hero 2 party bundle as she said "it says excludes band bundles" and I tried to explain a band bundle was a much bigger box of guitars and drums. Finally gave up, said just do the guitar and I'll be happy. They wore on my nerves too much and I had places to be... might try again later.

vote-for1vote-against

I ended up getting DJ Hero 2 Party Bundle and Band Hero Band Kit for a total of about $45. The only Tony Hawk set they had was for PS3 - when I have an Xbox 360 and Wii. Target has Ride and Shred for Wii, and will price-match, but I need to find the ad somewhere. It didn't come in this weekend's paper, and Toys R Us didn't have any.

For $30, I was considering buying The Beatles Rock Band for 360, even though I already have it for Wii.

What I paid $45 for at Toys R Us would have cost about $290 at Best Buy... even if I hate these games, I can probably get back what I paid for them.

All my store had left was one copy of DJ Hero 2, two PS3 Tony Hawk Shreds, one Beatle band kit, and a stack (eight or ten copies) of Band Hero. All for 360, except the Tony Hawk.

vote-for2vote-against

I went to Toys R us and Picked up Guitar Hero 3 Bundle (PS3), Guitar Hero World Tour Bundle (PS3), Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock Bundle(PS3), Tony Hawk Ride (PS3), and the original DJ Hero bundle (PS3).

Then I went to walmart and they price matched for me after going through several different managers. I got DJ Hero 2 Party Bundle (Xbox 360)which I realized later came with a Walmart exclusive DJ Hero 1 Disc also and another Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock Bundle (Xbox 360).

One Hell of a deal. Thanks OP!

vote-for1vote-against

I just got 2x Guitar Hero Warriors of rock and 2x DJ Hero 2 bundles for $42 by price matching at walmart! Saved $240, and I can still trade in the extra 2 games I don't need to gamestop :D

Edit: I did have to go to toysrus to get the ad for proof for walmart, as it is a huge difference...so be prepared. They have the right to ask for an ad on a price match over $20 difference.

vote-for1vote-against

@djslack: She was correct, the party bundle is NOT included, but the DJ Hero bundle is the turntable and the game.

vote-for1vote-against

So at Toys R Us I snagged the two-turntable bundle of DJ Hero 1 and Beatles Rock Band Limited Edition for $40 total, then this morning I went to Walmart and got Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock and DJ Hero 2 for $20 total.

Excellent.

I'll probably grab any other bundle I see in the next two days that I don't already have. Not that I have many more shopping trips to do (But it never hurts to pop in if I'm near a TRU or Walmart)

Also my Walmart accepted the ad on my phone, hooray.

vote-for1vote-against

I tried to get another walmart in my area to price match but she said because the nearest tru was twenty miles away they wouldn't match it. This was after I told them about the ad before I came in and they said it was fine. It wasn't until they realized how much off they were that they gave me that excuse. And target told me they wouldn't match because it wasn't a newspaper flyer. Off to try best buy
