Not sure this is really a "deal" ... Apple sells their refurb stuff all of the time. This isn't a limited time or a special or anything. This is just what they do.

@ack154: It may be much of a deal, but that's what the voting system is for. That's why I'll never make it to the top of the leaderboard.

The low-end iPods seem to go fast when they do have them in stock. Same goes for the $99 iPod nano (which they have again in a few colors).

Apple's refurbs are a much better deal IMO, even if it is a previous gen.

Definitely agree on getting those refurbs from Apple. I had a refurb iBook from them years ago. Worked like a champ - looked brand new.
