Thanks! Getting a pair for me and a pair for my brother-in-law!
Does anyone else find these to be a bit creepy?
Extra 30% off these prices too, this weekend only! (Friday-Sunday)
@turtlegir1: how do you get 30 percent discount on these?
@1enajib09: It's REI's anniversary. Their front page says to use the code REIANNV, good till the 28th. Though apparently the FiveFingers discount is only good this weekend.
If your second toe is longer than your big toe, these shoes are not for you.
@bri6791: I don't think the REIANNV coupon will work on these, although I haven't tried it. On the coupon info page it says:
Offer not valid on REI-OUTLET.com items, REI Adventures or REI Outdoor School.
Offer not valid on sale items (prices ending in $ .3 or $ .9).
They are actually an extra 33% off, making them $33.00. You have to add them to your cart and go through the checkout process to the last step (before you place the order) in order to see the fully discounted price.
@zuiquan: Actually, not true. My second toe is longer (some might say significantly) than my first, and I own this exact pair of Vibram KSOs, and they fit incredibly well. Probably the best footwear I've owned. You just have to measure from the second toe in order to accurately determine which size to order.
I believe you need to be a REI member ($20 membership) to use REIANNV, I just tried using it and it didnt let me.... thoughts?
@danthonyross: I had the opposite experience. By the time I found a pair that didn't crush my second toe there was a massive amount of slippage in my big toe.
@nangiggles: Same here.
REIANNV coupon code did not work for a pair of women's Vibrams.
"REIANNV: Your shopping cart does not contain any qualifying coupon items.
You saved $8.99 in U.S. Standard shipping on this order!"
Is there something I've missed?
@nangiggles: You are correct. You must be an REI member to use the coupon and see the automatic discounts on the Vibrams.
The membership is a steal: $20 lifetime and their return policy is the best of any store I know of, even better than Costco's.
These remind me of the old TV show called Married with Children. Al Bundy tried to make these shoes and he became the laughing stock of the whole town. Not that he had much of a reputation to begin with but I can not wear these for that reason.
