I was playing this last night with some family. Oddly enough they did make the gold one differently than the standard black Wii controller.

@xarous: The reason the gold controller is different is because it is a Classic Controller Pro, not a Wiimote. It is an updated version of the Classic Controller that was sold separately since the launch of the Wii. The controller in this bundle is a limited edition in the gold color, but you can buy more in either black or white.

I wish they'd have had a choice of color at the launch of the Wii, I'm liking the black model, but I'm not replacing mine and all the controllers just to change colors.

@aracos: I know it isn't a Wiimote. It is different then the black Classic Controller Pro. The A B buttons are harder to read, but the controller as a whole feels better in hand with the weight and not having a slick texture like the white/black ones.

@beautyofmachines: Along with using a Wiimote+nunchuck, you can also use the Zapper with them or an ancient GCN controller.

Also, this game rocks. I snagged it the last time this deal was in the deals.woot feed, and it's such a beautiful throwback.

Looks like this deal has changed. The bundle with the controller is now (4/19) 49.96 and for 39.96 you can get the game with the T-shirt.
