I have two of these. No, not to dual wield, one for my truck and one for my barn. They are actually a good machete except they are pretty dull when you get them. You will need to sharpen them yourself with a grinder, file, or stone. The grip is the best thing about it. It's made of rubber so it won't slip out of your hands easily and absorbs some impact/vibration too. Other than being dull these are a great item to have around for camping, brush clearing, zombie apocalypse, ya know just the usual stuff.

@fusion44: I suppose I should explain myself.

When submitting this deal I made a conscious decision not to list it as a "zombie killing" weapon for several reasons:

a) Too many people get popular deals largely for framing weapons as zombie-killing devices. I wanted to buck this trend, as this is an excellent deal in its own right.
b) I hate that the first comment for any weapon deal is "This is perfect for the zombie apocalypse!" or something.
c) Realistically, while this is a great survival tool, it's not good against zombies. Chop an arm or a leg off, the zombie will still bite you. These things can break through flesh, but destroying a skull isn't easy. Not enough heft, even with a sharp blade.

So remember, the best use for this is everyday chores, undergrowth doesn't attack back. Perhaps if you lack any other weapon this can be used against the undead, but it's far from ideal and will get you killed if you're not careful.

Is this protection FOR pirates or protection AGAINST pirates? I need to know.

Sorry, I'm land locked. If it's not guaranteed for Zombies, it's too much of a risk for me.

Also, I remember like 9 months ago a machete deal was posted and I said "I have 4 machetes and I've never paid for than $5 bucks" (<- those numbers are exaggerated, but it was close to that)

People laughed at me..."YOU CAN'T GET A MACHETE THAT CHEAP" they taunted. Well who's laughing now. WHO'S LAUGHING NOW>??!?

What's the allure of swinging an ultra cheap thing that could kill you. Save another $20 and get the Cold Steel version at least.

@enantiodromia: It may be cheap but its actually good quality. I don't know about you but I'm not going to be chopping a tree down with this, just brush and such, so no worries here.

I went and picked one up directly from the store, and it does look like great quality for the price. I didn't even know there was a Harbor Freight in my city, but there it was, half a mile from my work. I'm going back tomorrow for a second, since I could only purchase one per day.

Also, the printable coupon says that it's valid into September. If your order is canceled now, you may still be able to pick one up in a few weeks.

This is a great deal, but nothing like the "Woot Talk like Pirate Day!!!"
