Order 5 and pay $70 shipped, or $14 each. I'm still not sure it's worth $14.It's an interesting idea with the flip carriers though.

It says 2 port 2.1A USB charger. Does that mean 2.1A total across both ports or 2.1A each port? I am always looking for charging devices that can charge 2 kindles at once.

I have a 2 port charger and it never occurred to me that you couldn't charge two items at the same time. I mean if it is has TWO usb ports, eh?

@euphio: One of the few consolations about having to pay California sales tax is being withing the Norco Overnite service area. I can get it overnight for $5.85. I would recommend ordering more items from Monoprice and spreading the shipping cost over multiple items. They have the BEST prices on basic stuff like cables, wires, and connectors. Browse around, you might be surprised at what you find they have that you could use. I usually pick up a few of the 1-foot power cord extensions (item 5296) when I can't find something else. Because wall warts seem to multiply and they're a pain to use on powerstrips.

@sterhill: I have one of these and one made by Philips. I charge two items all the time. Usually two tablets. Ipad and Samsung Galaxy Tab. No issues. I prefer the Monoprice because the green light is less noticeable. The Philips has a large red light for some reason.

Could they have put those outlets any closer together??? That's definitely an issue I have with numerous different "surge protectors" that I own.

You can get a similar effect with Monoprice's 2 Port USB Wall Charger 1A - Black, for $6.15 plus $2.80 to ship one. This gives you 2 USB charging sockets plus one AC socket left open. Now that's 1A total, so adequate for phones but not tablets.

Monoprice has nice prices on small items but they really shine when it comes to mounts.
They have the best tv mounts anywhere and the best prices.
