50 years ago, Gibson introduced the SG as a new design to supplant the original Les Paul. While that plan became (thankfully) temporary, the SG went on to become one of the most recognizable, iconic guitars in popular music history, and appeared on numerous history altering recordings. Gibson continues the rock & roll tradition with the new SG Special Limited Electric Guitar.

The SG Special Limited retains much of the original specs of the classic SG’s from years past. This instant classic boasts the same legendary body style and construction of the guitar that was original slated to be the second edition of the Les Paul. The mahogany body, with its classic double-cutaway lightweight, thin, beveled edge design; combined with a set-in mahogany neck provide incomparable player comfort.
