A 12/3 extension cord is hardly light duty. this should handle a skill-saw just fine.
Not sold online or at store.
deal does not exist , not in any stores and no longer sold online
Works fine in Central NJ
bait and switch. NOT AVAILABLE in WI
Shouldn't 12ga wire @75 ft be rated at 20 amps? Why is 2ft rated at 15? The offer states they are lightweight. Something doesn't seem right here. Maybe some crappy manufacture???
@martycawley: Unless y ou live in Phoenix, Tempe, or Mesa AZ.
Works fine in CA. You may need to tweak yr zip for correct store.
NICE PRICE
Must be regional - None available in S. Illinois.
@d4tonyd: The plugs on it are 15 amp.
lots of boston area stores have plenty of stock.
@acassius: Thanks, yep same with the north
Not available in the twin cities, either. Worthless offer.
Can someone explain to me the value of a 2ft extension cord? I must be missing something....
@rjfuerst: It's the tri-tap that comes with the set.
two comments:
Regarding the deal itself...works fine for me locally (NY Metro Area). Available online as well as many in several area stores.
Regarding Duty Rating of the cable. Duty rating is not just a factor of wire gauge, but also cord length. A 12/3 cable that is 25' long will have a different duty rating than one that is 75' long. with the splitter, it is probably rated as light duty because you can plug multiple devices into it.
Just in time for Valentine's Day! Extension cords to run out to the tent in the back yard I'll have sleep in.
They are available in Central Florida.
Ordered and is ready for pick up,looks like a good deal.
Nothing local and nothing online. I've been wooted-out.
@rjfuerst: [Can someone explain to me the value of a 2ft extension cord? I must be missing something.]
Yep. Good conclusion. The 2ft is a 3-way splitter. (turns one magic power hole into three)
Nothing in Northern IL either.
When attempting to buy online and have shipped I get the following message:
"Your shopping cart contains item(s) which are no longer available online. Please remove all unavailable items from your cart."
@antfarmer; seriously?
Splitters are awesome, especially at Christmas time. I have a hard time finding the 2 I already own.
In for 1; NE NJ. Paramus has about 10 and North Bergen over 20.
Available in SW PA!
We still use coal-fired generators here. Is this compatible, or does it work only with nuclear power?
They have 10 in Charlotte, NC.....
@sgrman05: I could not order online to have it shipped but could order it for in store pickup. In my area they have them in the stores but the store will not ship one to you, you have to pick it up.
@woottoady: you cannot use these in lieu of coal or nuclear material...they are only for transmitting power.
just called local store in NY.. they did a visual inventory check.. and ordered online for in-store pickup... but they were also willing to put on hold aside for me
Waste of time.........no inventory ANYWHERE near
@davejonas: Where in the Boston area??
I get "ITEM NOT SOLD AT THIS STORE" for every location in a 50 mile radius...
I checked every store in the Houston area; NOT SOLD IN STORE was the only result. People at "woot" were not informed that this was only at selected areas. VERY DISAPPOINTING!! ... AGAIN!!!
None in the Memphis,TN area.
Just picked mine up in Paramus. Seems like quite a few people ordered; the pickup shelves were stacked with these! What is the regular price?
I was just checking the store inventory in my area again, and all stores came up "ITEM NOT SOLD AT THIS STORE". None said that earlier. I'm guessing they got slammed with orders and shut it down...
@kapnet: just picked up and they removed all from online inventory... All the employees are buying them... All of the units were behind service desk... Not on shelves!
I went to my local HD on the way to an appointment this evening.. Took the printed copy of the sale listing from their web site... Couldn't find any in the electrical department so I asked at Customer Service and the young lady calls a gentleman up and asks him to see if he can find some of them since the computer says they have over 30 in stock...
We go back to the isle and look again, no luck, he starts looking in the upper racks checking the stock number from my printout, and there, way up in the highest rack, is a pile of big boxes all taped up with the correct stock numbers.. He takes one down and opens it up to find a a partially filled box with the correct cable sets... I bought 3...
I suspect the sale price was a mistake and they pulled them from open inventory and the On-line inventory once sales exploded in popularity... If it is still listed tomorrow at $19.00 print a copy and take it to you local HD.. Nothing Ventured Nothing Gained...
available again. Out of stock online, but available (near me) for buy online/PU in store.
Local stores had them. Picked some up. Wire housing feels a little thin, like the inside wires were threaded through a thin rubber tube. The other 12/3 cords that I have from other manufacturers have a thick housing that is molded around the other wires. Although they don't feel as solid as my other 12/3 cords, it still seems to be a super price.
Picked up mine today, woman tells me a dozen went out since yesterday afternoon. She said the original price was $40+. When I got home I ordered another one, can't pass up a deal I guess.
Some NNJ (Passaic, Paterson, Clifton) stores showing back in stock, 10:57am.
@gusvonpooch: Update,HD just called me and they are out of stock even though the inventory says 19 left. I bet the employees snatched the remaining inventory.
As of 11:50 AM, Eastern Time, some stores have restocked this. Check availability in your area.
@harpermark: Had online chat about an hour ago with customer service about not being able to buy online. She said she would investigate. Two minutes ago I was able to buy 4 online. Yea!
Just bought one on-line for local pick up. All stores in my area except one have a plentiful supply (San Diego). Nice price.
Unfortunately, this deal isn't available within 200 miles of my house, but still a great deal.
Ordered two this morning in central PA, and picked them up this afternoon.
I met a friend while I was in the store, and when he saw them he said he wanted two, also. Unfortunately at that point the website said "not available in this store," and a store employee confirmed that there were none left.
Still, it was a great deal when and where it was available. (A 100' 12/3 cord at Lowe's costs $94.00 so this one should be worth ~~ $75.00) So thanks for posting!
Although dead online, I just picked up in fishkill NY for the listed price. Once again it was a lone box on the top shelf and even the sales associate couldn't believe the price.
