I need about this size for a factory restore image - but it may be that these are "Windows 8 Compatible" and show up as a fixed drive - not removable - and HP say that won't work. Anybody have experience with this?

I have used smaller capacities of this series for backup on my HP desktop and netbook with no problems.

With tax and shipping it's more like $20, unless you're a Prime member.

Is it usb3.0 or 2.0 flash drive?
I can't tell the spec!

They are definitely 2.0. One of the Amazon comments rates the 64 GB version of these as 3.0MB/s. That is pretty bloody slow. However, for using as backups that you can leave to download, these should be great. They seem to be Sandisk quality in construction, and good read speed.

Bought two SanDisk Cruzer Blades 32 GB for $9.95 each.

When I click on the link, the price is $19.84 and not the $11.99 listed here...
