I have this set and use it in my PS3 so yes it works in the US. This is an awesome deal. I think I paid around $40 for it.

hmm, now I'm a little confused. I noticed a link to this "Commemorative 6-Disc Gift Set In Tin Box" for the same price. Which is what I thought this was... Different number of reviews and a newer release date though...

It looks like they raised the price. The box linked in the comments is still the same price though. The only difference I've been able to tell between the two is that the one in the comments may come in a slightly slimmer box.
