It's back up to $269 on the link listed... is there a coupon code or something to get the $199?

@phooka13: Thanks for the tip about the un-branded. I couldn't remember what size they did. I was thinking it was 20-24 inch. But now I'll wait for woot ^^ especially with the wootoff hint hint @wootemployees lol.

@giggitygoo62: That's weird it wouldn't function. Did it just not get a signal at all or something else wonky happen?

@dravack: Woot has had a "un-branded" 27'' for around $200, but I haven't seen it available recently. Unless the cash is burning a hole in your pocket I'd wait of getting a actual computer monitor. Newegg has mid-week and weekend deals for 24'' - 27'' fairly regularly so you might want to check that out, or tigerdirect. Safe hunting.

This would make for a bad computer monitor. The best resolution of a 720p tv is 1280 by 720. At 32" this monitor couldnt be any closer than 24" without severe headaches and eye strain. If you are a gamer, this isnt for you.

@dravack
i bought one of these originally to use as a monitor, but couldn't get it to function properly with my computer running an asus motherboard(m4a88t-v). I suppose it should also be noted I was using an hdmi cable between the two. I'm not sure which caused the problem, but wanted you to be aware that there is a chance that it may not work.

I have a Dynex. I can attest it works fine, no problems as of yet. Like the previous post said it takes a few seconds to turn on around 6 seconds in which the screen shows "Please Wait..." lol. Channel changing is okay, but on some channels it does seem to take a bit longer than regular. As far as picture, I have no complains its sharp and vibrant. Viewing angle is limited though.

I bought this tv last Black Friday for a guest bedroom. It takes quite a long time to turn on. It also takes longer then 30 minutes to program the channels. Not an issue if you use a cable or satellite box. Channels take a little longer to change without a box as well. Picture is average.

Little bigger than I was looking for but what does everyone think about this as a computer monitor? I was thinking about going 27 inch originally but this is cheaper than current monitor deals >.>
