Great price for a Craftsman. Does anyone know if this is new or refurb?
These things are a godsend, I have a lot of pets and wet/dry vacs are invaluable for cleaning up. I use mine every day. This is a fantastic price and worth every penny.
Good price.
True Value is selling a Shop Vac 12 gallon vac for 29.99 during the month of November. It's a real nice deal, but it's a vac that Shop Vac is discontinuing so once they're gone the deal is over.
They're going to be having a similar one on Friday for like $15, IIRC.
Looks new, I just ordered one for in store pickup and nothing was mentioned about refurb.
I'd give it about an 80% chance my ADD didn't interfere.
i could use one of these
great deal
Craftsman make a nice product. These are worth their weight in gold during a heavy rain. Well, just when your basement is flooding.
I wonder if this is one of the cheaper "just made for X-mas" models.......
Shop vacs are the best invention ever. Use it on my boat all of the time. I am due for a new one, Craftsman always seem reliable.
Do leaf mulcher attachments fit on this unit?
Good for New year's parties after some nitwit yacks on your floor. I speak from experience
Excellent vacuum. I have one. You can blow leaves by attaching the hose to the outlet, but I don't know of a mulching attachment.
I use one to clean my children. Saves a ton on the water bill!
I've had my craftsman wet/dry vac for 20 years. great value
That's an awesome deal!!
We just saw this last night in an e-mail from Sears. I've never seen something refurb on the Sears site. We have one already in the wood shop, but are probably going to get another one to keep in the house, it's such a good deal.
Use mine all of the time. Very good price.
Great price for a quality vac.
If you have the patience and time get the one from Home Depot on Black Friday. It makes it easier to buy replacement parts as well as attachments.
I bought this about a year ago after Hurricane Ike. On the 13th, as I was cleaning our cars, the motor just shutdown. I called in the 1-800 number and believe it or not I still had 1 day of warranty left on it. I took it to Sears Hardware and the manager tells me "It's most likely the motor. If it is, it is not covered under warranty. How do I know? Becuase the same happened to the one here in the store." I sent it anyways. I get a call back from the repair center. "Sir. You have a bad motor. The repair cost is $112.99 for parts and labor. Please let us know if you would like for us to proceed." I pushed back and asked that it be covered under the warranty. Still waiting on the call.
I bought a Craftsman 'shop-vac' because that is what my dad used for ~ 15 years. They don't make them like they used to.
The Friday $15 wet/dry vac is 2 gallons. The 16 gallon size is $99.99. This one is a good deal.
If you go for this be sure to pick up ear protection - especially if you use it indoors. It's loud!
sears.com has it for the same price.
With 5 Horses inside and that POS-I-LOCK, how can you go wrong? Actually, I have this and like it. For the price you can't go wrong.
I just picked this up in store. They had a giant display of them set up with the $79.99 price. It rang up properly at $39.99.
Excellent price. New vac. Purchased a 3 year extended replacement warrantee for $6. I break them in 1-2 years.
Dead deal - it's back to $60
