Not a bad deal at all. I don't NEED one, darn it, but WD is IMHO the best HD on the market. 3TB is a s@#$load of storage. Might have to bypass my needs and go for wants -- I'll eventually need the space after all.

That is what, almost 50 - 60 cents per GB? Works for me.

Picked up one of these last time they were on sale. It has been a great drive for data and some moderate video use. Can burn a 25gb blu-ray in about 20 minutes from this drive on an overclocked 2nd gen i7.

Does anyone know how many RPMs the drive is? It doesn't list it in the details.

@blowuptheking: Usually they are 5400 rpm if they don't list since its not a good selling point.

Most 'green' drives are <5600rpm. WD is now listing their green drive's RPM as 'Intellipower', which helps mitigate the fact that they are slower than 7200rpm drives and helps them avoid a direct rpm comparison. With as long as these green-branded drives have been out, you probably already know, but rest assured, it's slower than 7200 or they would be marketing it. I def wouldn't recommend using this as your OS drive.
