@starmandeluxe: OK, I'll bite, what's involved in running this on my Mac?

@czarkingkaiser: They can feel very similar to the first Diablo.
They're modeled after D&D and has a lot more to do with strategy, complex dungeons, and unique stories than action.
Character builds can be very in-depth and versatile

I loved these games and have most on CDs somewhere in my garage.

Snag a copy, you'll have fun.

@czarkingkaiser: They are computer role playing games that use Dungeons & Dragons RPG rule sets. Diablo is a hack-n-slash, action RPG. The difference is that action RPGs is mostly about the action first, and these are more traditional RPGs which focus more on story and role playing.

so what are these games like exactly? Diablo? or is like a board game on the computer?

@necrom23: I have this set, and I haven't had a problem running it on Windows 7.

Anyone know what to do to get Baldur's Gate to work on WIndows 7?

Picked this up myself last time the sale ran. Probably the best, dollar for dollar, gaming package I've ever seen. Torment alone is worth the price and I'm now running through a highly modded Baldur's Gate with loads of nostalgia. And Icewind Dale is the icing on the cake.

ToEE is... there. You don't have to download it.

I wish this actually came in a box... I collect game boxes. The downloadable games are nice and all, but I'd pay extra to get it snail-mailed to me in the actual box.

@first2summit: Those are probably for the old box sets of the game which are uncommon and, I'd imagine, desirable for collectors.

I played these games when they first came out and I think I still have the original, detailed manual that came with the game.

Those were the days when you could gauge the quality of the game based on the weight of the box...

Now if they'd just bring back the gold box series...

Anyone know if I can use this on a Win 8 tablet?

Dang it, I bought that last week at a higher price. Damn you, gamer's gate! You've cost me $0.28 !!!!

:)

Great collection, especially since it sounds like the enhanced edition of Baldur's Gate didn't actually add that much. The best part is that unlike when this collection was selling on Atari's site last year, it looks like GamersGate will keep it in your account indefinitely, so you can download it whenever you want.

Amazon has it from $100 to $120 and used for around $75?

It's...it's just so good. FYI, with not much work you can get all of these working seamlessly on a Mac (I can vouch, at least, for Lion) so don't let that stop you.

Great Deal for Amazing games.
