Had my boxee from woot for over a year.
It's a love-hate relationship.

Works awesome when it works, but has a tendency to lose it's network connection to my media computers.
Navigation is easy, but annoying in 3rd party apps like Netflix, where ex: the pause button doesn't pause...

Coolest thing going for it if you have an Apple product that supports it is AIRPLAY!

I would probably buy another, but not a fan of the lemon I have.

Bought one of these several weeks ago when it was the main Woot. I was planning on using that with our main TV, but fell in love with it while setting it up on our basement TV and don't want to give it up! I was going to look for another refurb so I don't have to, when as luck would have it, it showed up here. Absolutely love it!

I enjoyed mine until I kept losing my network shares. This was admittedly 2 years ago. The remote is amazing on several levels.

Hurry up and get a boxee box quick before the OUYA makes it completely irrelevant.

I'm still mad that they've killed off the MAC and PC Versions of this as an app. I used it on my media center all the time.

Does anyone know if I can use this to connect to my Slingbox Pro? I am looking for an easier way to connect to it. Right now I just have an HTPC under the TV with a wireless mouse and keyboard stashed in the coffee table, and just use the slingbox website on fullscreen. I'd love to find a way to connect to the Slingbox with a more normal remote.

@kmurphy4000 - The newer models of the Western Digital Media Players play slingbox...

The best thing about this product is the remote. It's really easy to use, has a keyboard on the back and really good range.

OUYA isn't going to make Boxee Box irrelevant. OUYA doesn't have CPU power to play many of the formats Boxee Box supports. Nor will OUYA ever get Netflix, Hulu Plus or Amazon VOD (because you have to be a secure platform).

Pros of the Boxee Box: It plays more formats than anything else. It has several hundred apps, including Netflix, Crunchyroll, You Tube, etc. It's been rooted so you can expand on it. Does (mostly) support Apple Airplay. It's cheaper than rolling your own Entertainment computer with XBMC.

Cons: This product is EOL. It's just a matter of when Boxee makes it official. No word on when/if DLINK will support a new model. It was only rooted a month or so ago, so who knows. It has flash, but not the latest version. Because it's using a Intel SOC (the same one in the GoogleTV) and Intel abandoned it's Set Top Box SOC you'll have to accept that you'll never get HDMI 1.4a or the latest version of flash.

What is the condition of the boxee boxes? Quality refurbs? Who is selling them? Is it worth my $$$?

Received mine, upgraded firmware, paired the remote and its working great. I bought this as a gift, 2nd one for them and just ordered the Boxee Live TV dongle for it.

@badtroy: Well, I can tell you that mine unfortunately is covered in scratches on the glossy front, so if you were holding out and missed the sale you probably lucked out...
