$8 to ship a shirt? No thanks. ThinkGeek has a lot of great stuff but shipping kills it for me every time.

Agreed, shipping is exorbitant .
I reluctantly bought $4 car decals, still cost additional $6 for shipping.

FYI: At the moment shipping is free for orders of $75 and above.

They lure you in with low prices; shipping kills the deal each time.
I have un-subscribed

How dare they charge money to cover the shipping costs?! How dare they combine shipping with each item ordered, so as to reduce the cost per item?! How dare they offer free shipping without a coupon for orders over $75?! How dare they combine that offer with the coupon code mentioned above?!

How dare they?!

@aeta: Yes, shipping is free above $75, but it "does not combine with other offers", so it's a no-go with the 30% off apparel.

They say that, however it does in fact combine. My cart shows both promotions as active right now (I'm just debating on what to get), and I have used as many as three promotions together in the past. Their basic prices can be a bit high, but finding enough items on sale (that you actually want) to make it over $75 is a solid deal if you can pull it off. And I usually do.

@tortamus: Heh, I just tried it out, and indeed it does stack with other offers (or at least the RUNWAY code). Wish I had known that beforehand. Ah, well.

@tortamus: I just received a t-shirt made from the same material (100% cotton) in the same size from another company that does offer free shipping and I checked the postage: $2.68. Just under $3 to ship a shirt. Thinkgeek wanted to charge me $8. Its not that Thinkgeek charges for shipping, its that they gouge you for shipping for an item that already cost $20 on sale. I myself have shipped clothing to family and it doesn't cost $8. If you like to pay 40% of your item's cost in shipping, good for you...but I like to put my money to better use.

@tortamus: Covering cost and gouging are two different things. On some items the shipping cost is far too high (such as decals).
