For anyone who hasn't seen this...it's an excellent Zombie movie. It gives you a plausible back story (Rage Virus) and plausible outcome. While not a polished movie or a docudrama it still works as an excellent vehicle for the story....to bad "28 Weeks Later" (the sequel) was so lame.

From what I hear, this was filmed at 35mm with handheld cameras, so the blu-ray shows almost no improvement over the DVD. I'm a huge fan of this movie, but for now I'll stick with my DVD. Standard def is what the director invisioned.

@njscorpio: I concur. Own both DVD and blu-ray.

Bought this deal previously. Great movie, great deal - the only complaint I have is that when I received my copy the case was largely damaged (cracks, pieces broken off) but the movie itself is in great condition. Just a heads up for anyone thinking of jumping on this. Not sure if anyone else had that problem, but that was my experience.

@njscorpio: More accurately, the film was made on a Standard Definition/PAL digital video camera (Canon XL-2, I believe), with professional 35mm film lenses.

This means that the maximum resolution of the film (with the exception of the epilogue, which was filmed on 35mm) is 720x576, which is way below Blu-ray standards. I have no idea why anybody would purchase this film on Blu-ray (as wonderful as it is).
