I wonder what type of batteries power this light

Good question. Guess I'll find out. In for one as I just moved to a new place and am finding it to be dim on my kitchen countertops thanks to the poorly chosen track lighting. I was just starting to look for something like this and it's the best price of all. Hope the quality is there.

For $4 don't hope for a whole lot of quality

For $4, it's going to be a dim light, and very likely using a nonstandard battery (that is, not AA/AAA).

Hmmmm. Battery operated light and they don't bother to mention the battery type... when they normally do! Sounds like someone is trying to dump a bad investment.

These sell out quickly everywhere, so must not be too bad. In for a few, if nothing else they'll go into the hurricane supplies.

With a quick search, they take 3 AAA batteries.

It's a "Sentry LEDSP". I would imagine it's actually pretty bright and decent for an occasional closet light or something similar.

@danlecompte: Thanks for the research. I had looked earlier but gave up to quickly, I guess.

I actually have a battery powered LED light I got from this site a few weeks ago that is incredibly bright. Everyone who picked it up seemed to accidently turn it on while staring at it and each of us made the same little girl squeal when it hit our eyes, lol! I assumed that this one would be just about as bright.
