@gut funk: i kinda meant that the post should say the price ;)

vote-for7vote-against

Not only did the post not include the price, but that appears to be the regular price, not a deal.

@smtatertot13: Oh, not intended at you! Just for people a little lazier than me that don't want to click to see just how overpriced it is.

@gut funk @smtatertot13 @gjbloom
Ya sorry i started the post and got busy and just hit submit. I am sure @jumbowoot or other admin will fix it.

@gjbloom
It is regular price (I said expensive in the details). I still would love one for my birthday... Hint Hint family members I have converted to wooters.

I'm glad they advertise this website as a place for smart people to buy stuff. Makes people feel a lot better about themselves when they blow $50 on a cookie jar.

vote-for1vote-against

uber sweet! not a deal, watch for it to be on sale or maybe buy with a coupon. I would be jealous of the owner of this cookie jar. :)

vote-for4vote-against

I really like the products on thinkgeek, but a lot of it (almost all of it) is way too expensive.

In a way, it feels ironic.

vote-for2vote-against

"Your tongue can't repel flavor of that magnitude!!"

vote-for2vote-against

This is not a deal. Why is this on Deals.woot?

vote-for2vote-against

The real question is for $50 can it blow up a planet?

What if the planet is a cookie?

vote-for5vote-against

Again.. I love thinkgeek products, but I will never buy their over priced crap

vote-for1vote-against

So... Is it a cookie jar for giant cookies, or just an absurdly large jar for regular-sized cookies?

vote-for1vote-against

Well, it IS a deal when you consider that this available anywhere else.

At least I couldn't find it.

vote-for1vote-against

Kind of amazing they are actually recommending that you put cookies in it, some of the previously available Star Wars cookie jars have been labeled "not food safe".

vote-for1vote-against

@eldiablohijo: That would defeat the purpose of the jar. The hands of children would be preferable.

vote-for1vote-against

I have one, and it's awesome. And huge.

vote-for2vote-against

The real Death Star didn't cost that much.

vote-for1vote-against

Does it come filled with fresh Chocolate Chip Cookies?

vote-for2vote-against

Wookies should run free...not kept in a jar!

vote-for2vote-against

these aren't the coookies you're looking for.....

vote-for0vote-against

Pshhh... 50 dollars is a rip off. One speck of dust gets in that little exhaust port and the whole jar is gonna explode...

vote-for7vote-against

There should be a new site - woot.thinkgeek.com - where people can post all the thinkgeek normal-priced deals that people think are cool but way overpriced and wouldn't buy but think its fun to look at and comment. Or something :)

vote-for2vote-against

I love Star Wars to death but even this is too expensive for me for what it is

vote-for8vote-against

Stormtrooper: Let me see your low prices.
Obi-Wan: [with a small wave of his hand] You don't need to see any low prices.
Stormtrooper: We don't need to see any low prices.
Obi-Wan: These aren't the deals you're looking for.
Stormtrooper: These aren't the deals we're looking for.
Obi-Wan: He can go about his business.
Stormtrooper: You can go about your business.
Obi-Wan: Move along.
Stormtrooper: Move along... move along.

Same price. Both sites have similar 5off30/10off50 coupons, but it seems for some that the shipping on Star Wars Shop is less. That is of course you are not trying to horde geek points to grow your own ghost chili.

vote-for1vote-against

what WON'T Lucas put his name on?????

vote-for1vote-against

I don't think it is too expensive for what it is. Find a good cookie jar made of ceramic and it will cost you at least 30 bucks and up to 40. This one has a lot of details etched in compared to a basic smooth finish.

It isn't a thin plastic mold, so don't expect a $20 price tag.

vote-for1vote-against

$50? I don't care what form it has that's a for a ceramic bowl that costs $5 to make. Then again, most of the stuff @ thinkgeek is way overpriced anyway so why should this be any different?

Years from now these things will be $1 at garage sales everywhere.

vote-for2vote-against

Is there a bigger whore on the planet than George Lucas? Damn...
