Premium denim, woven old-school style

Selvedge is exactly the kind of denim that would've been made back in 1912 when L.L.Bean founded our company. Using an old-school loom is a more time-consuming process but it results in uncommonly rugged denim with a unique character all its own that only deepens as it shrinks to fit you perfectly. Plus, these selvedge jeans have a distinctly colored, finished self edge (hence the name) that will not unravel running down the inside leg.

To honor our heritage – and these storied production methods – we've created a limited quantity of 1,912 pairs of selvedge jeans. Each pair is hand numbered, making it an authentic collector's item. Standard Fit has a straight cut and sits lower on the waist. 100% cotton. Imported. Machine wash and dry.
