It's mono.
I got another brand from Frys, stereo, for less.
And I am almost deaf. As my wife says: "If you can hear it, it's too loud!".

@gidgaf: which brand from Frys? Ive been shopping at my Frys and have not seen similar to this, Ive only seen the ones that need to be tuned in each time as they use FM rather than IR.

If these are plugged in does sound still come through the TV speakers so other people in the room can also hear? We're going deaf here trying to accommodate my mom's hearing loss, We would all like to watch a game together again.

I had another model of this brand a few years ago. They are supposed to be higher quality, German made. Mine didn't work so well and the battery went bad without much use.

So can my wife and I watch late-night fancy adult flicks with sound now? Can I have two receivers on the same frequency?
