My mom has this grinder, and she's happy with it, but this isn't a $90 grinder. It's a $40 grinder and can be had for that much any time of the year.

Had bought this after my capresso burr grinder crapped the bed around the one year mark. This one is much cheaper, easier to clean, and does a better job.

@l3p463jr: For those of you that have this, is the grinding mechanism plastic or another material? I have a burr grinder, but the plastic burr creates static which causes a huge mess.

I picked up an old manual grinder with a steel burr, and I have no problems.... except it takes forever to grind a pot of coffee.

Looked at this at Kohls the other day and they had it on sale for $50. @zollars23 It appears to have a metal grinding mechanism.

I have this and it works fine, just make sure you clean it regularly esp. if you like fine grind. The grinder is metal but it still creates a lot of static due to the plastic housing and cup.

I have one of these. It failed after several months. I resoldered a bad connection on the PC board, and it has worked for several years ever since.

This has got to be the loudest aching in my household!
Too annoying got a Black and Decker to replace it

Avoid. Standard Chinese grinder does not grind fine enough for espresso and mine broke after a few months. My Capresso (Chinese) conical burr grinder is MUCH better. If you are not doing espresso, just get a decent blade grinder.
