Well I made it through with out purchasing. Thanks to the masocist sansa refurb adict! I put it off until today, figure it wouldn't give me too much advantage over the clip+, I've been reduced to part time, I need to spend my time more productively, I'll go through and find my old nomad xtras, I think I had shoved a 120GB drive in one of those and shelved it when I went to Nokias.

Ipud's sure were a 'Creative' idea!

As a masochist and a Sansa referb addict, I bought one of these 6 mos ago just because of all the bad reviews. It did take some getting used to. I have a habit of swiping the screen, thinking its a touch screen, but it has a touch pad for controls. My wife picked it up and tried making a phone call thinking it was the kid's phone!! LOL.
Really, it's not bad, and for 8gb of on-board memory it's outstanding.
I can't believe you guys only bought one FUZE last time they were on WOOT (old style w/wheel). You gotta buy the limit. I have 3 fuzes (2 still in package), I got 2 extra "just in case". My first is still going strong, bought a clip and 3 clip+ along the way too.
I remember the 4gb FUZE's were $20+ $5 shipping, so $25 for 8 gb is not a bad deal at all. I'm tempted....

My son picked up one like this and says it isn't as user friendly as the old ones but if you just want to listen to what you have and aren't interested in skipping around looking for songs, it's a good product. He uses it walking around and on the bus to work.

It gets a real work out everyday with him and he's not said a bad word about it since he figured out how to lock it. On that alone I'll vouch for the deal.

@thunderthighs: I kind of like this, with your permission I want to use this during my next debate.

Mr. @jmbunkin, you’re entitled to your own account, your own deals, but not your own facts.

@thunderthighs: I feel badly I said what I said,it won't happen agian, old jmbunkin with check his facts before he again posts from the hip.

I'm going to go ahead and think I'm dodging a bullet by not buying this one. It's a shame to since my e260 died in a mountain biking accident I've been keep my eye out for a replacement. After seeing some reviews, then looking online ... I'm passing on this deal.

@jmbunkin: I refute that statement! I had to join when someone said that they were selling something cheaper than us at the exact same time. It was on their Flash sale so I had to join to see it.

Ordered this a few months back from 1saleaday.com. I can confirm three things from other posters:
-Sansa firmware has been updated for easier
folder access.
-Fuxe+ usability is still inferior to clip+ or fuze
-1saleaday's shipping is ridiculously slow. Mine arrived after 7 weeks :( YMMV

vote-for2vote-against

@thunderthighs: This puts an end to the myth that you only shop at Woot

Nanaejt is correct. They routinely issue false shipping labels. I would not order from 1Saleaday. They used to be slow but you would eventually get your items. They got a new investor and moved the entire operation to Florida and as far as I can see they have ceased shipping products. I have three items on order, going back six weeks. None have shipped. Two give a UPS label number but UPS says they never received the packages. Their customer service is horrendous. I have not had an answer to 5 emails sent. Either the company has become a total mess, or they are about to go under. STAY AWAY FROM 1SALEADAY.

Great price but the earlier Fuze is much much easier to use. If you want to use it to play music at work or a party it might be great. If you want to carry it and need to pause to pause an audiobook that procedure is much more difficult. It is very easy to accidentally skip ahead or back if it's not locked and it is annoying to lock and unlock.

Have bought from 1sale before, only real problem I've had is slow shipping and they may give you a false ship date. They could tell you an item shipped and give you a tracking number but when you try to trace the package it will say a label has been generated but no info available yet,a week to ten days later the tracking number indicates that your purchase was just picked up that day. I've had the same problem with their other company Ben's Outlet but again I've always got what I ordered and at a good price. I'm a big fan of Sansa but reviews on this product are not as good as the original Fuze

Still holding out for an 8 gb clip....

If only my refurb e280`s weren`t still going strong, I`d... well, I actually wouldn`t grab this because of the reviews. Thanks for saving me $25 and a great deal of frustration.

@photowhit: Powering mine back up and updating it, I do now have an option to search by folder. It seems they added that. I have not removed the back image, that might make it better on navigation, but still it will require hitting for each step and that is a pain. It does seem they added folder sort though.

vote-for0vote-against

Did they ever update this to navigate by folders? I know the older Fuse had this, but I can't find it in the reviews I've found. I did read about shutting off the background 'picture' and updating to latest firmware to improve the navigation. I really like the long battery life. I have the Clip+ but it has a tiny screen.

I've been using a Nokia N800 for my MP3 player, and prefer they computer like navigation. I'm strickly a audio book, pod cast person, music person, video only on The 32"+ screens...

The deal is in the Flash deals section on the site. You will need to log in to see it. They have pretty decent stuff, I have ordered dozens of items and never had a problem with 1saleaday.

I have one of these and it is sleek, however, I do not use it. I also do not really recommend it. I love Sansa, and am still using my older gen Fuze player. (http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Sansa-Video-Player-Black/dp/B001GCQ3KM/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1349330050&sr=8-2&keywords=sansa+fuze). For reference, but watch for it to be cheaper, that is way to high to pay, I need to snag a spare for when mine eventually dies (though I'm on year 3 with it).

The biggest reason I didn't start using the new one was I found upon receiving it that the wheel for navigation was removed. It has a sleek touchpad, but requires you to hit it each time to make a single move. I have gigs of music and it is beyond tedious to navigate around the new Sansa that is shown in this link. Look for the older gen if you can

Don't confuse this with the Fuze which is a great player.. This one, the Fuze +, is poorly reviewed. Bad user interface.

vote-for9vote-against

@morriea: Took me a while to find that one. You're lucky I already have an account there. In the future, if you can give me the link to the pic itself, it'll speed things up. =)

@thunderthighs...will you be a dear and grab the photo for me. I thank you in advance.
