Anyone have a login that we could use?
Student discount only, No student credentials, no free software. Registration keys only work once, so no login would help anyways unless they haven't activated anything. Sorry.
Not really, I've installed Visual Studio probably about 20 times.
just use a Windows Live account, thats all u need
They have some okay stuff, but if you are a student that would need this, like in a technical or engineering program, more than likely you can get all this and more through your school's MSDNAA program. I got a few copies of Windows 7 free through that, along with Project and some others.
@jsapp36: Yeah, MSDNAA is pretty sweet. I would say if you're a student, just find out about that.
Some of this software is stuff that I cannot get through school but I like to mess around with anyway. I got windows 7 from school for free but nothing like this.
When I click the link it comes up as an untrusted site, anyone else getting that?
I need to get an .edu e-mail from my school...
Never actually tried...never had a reason to until recently. Lots of help for students, help I could REALLY use (help=free/reduced prices).
Can I just ask 'em for an e-mail? Or is there a certain way of goin' about doing it?
@drchops: Depends on your school. Some give you no choice & you have to have one. Others you have to sign up for one yourself.
I got windows 7 through msdnaa. Unfortunately it comes with ONE license.
When i reformatted I had to call MS. If that doesnt work you have to remove activation for a product you paid for.
I was able to download a few different programs. Very easy. Thanks for sharing.

I've been using the MSDNAA up here at UC Santa Cruz for 3 years. All of my stuff is licensed through it. Visual Studio (for C# only, otherwise I work in a terminal), Three copies of Windows 7 (one x64, two 32-bit), and a slew of other things I got for free simply because I could.
If you're a student, this is the best. I even managed to get my keys renewed through their automated support line after reinstalling and attempting to re-activate.
There are several of these programs that can be downloaded for free directly from Microsoft (e.g. MS Robotics Developer Studio == RDS) without having to register with this site.
The RDS may be of interest to a number of Wooters because it will allow programming of a number of robots. Robots supported include the LEGO NXT system, the Roomba, and the WowWee RoboSapien. Some of these have been sold by Woot and/or given away in Woot-Off Bag of Crap shipments.

I have a XXXXXX@alumni.YYYYY.edu, does anyone know if that passes?
It will take you less time to find out than it took me to answer you here :)
