You mean it costs $2.99 with free shipping. I know those auto headlines tend to mess up sometimes.

Oh and I really wasn't meaning that in any snarky way, seriously just wanted it to be clear for people.

Good for cubicle mirrors, too. Know when the zombies are sneaking up from behind!

@brossow: But what if you are a zombie? I guess you can see when some tasty brains are sneaking up behind you.

@mtrlgrl: If you're a zombie and STILL stuck in a cubicle, I feel sorry for you. That's gotta be one of the circles of Hell.

I am like 99% sure you can get these at the 99 cent store.

@impure: Yes, but you can't see 99% of the cars behind you with the 99 cent store ones.

Pointless. Most cars come with three mirrors, which can be aimed in such a way as to avoid the existence of a blind spot from the driver's perspective. Honestly, people.

I never understood how a blindspot mirror is a good thing when it creates a blindspot by covering up a portion of your mirror. REAL blindspot mirrors are on trucks and buses that actually HAVE blindspots, and are mounted separately so as not to interfere with the normal mirror. Not to mention these could give you a false sense of security- there's no substitute for a quick look over your shoulder before making that lane change. And for goodness sake, use your dang turn signal for once!

Pointless? Most cars? Most isn't all. And one of those in the "isn't all" category cut me off last Sunday, I ended up rolling my little 2005 Escape LTD. Because of seatbelts, I walked away (my back hurts like an SOB, though). The driver of the truck that cut me off was responsible enough to stop and he climbed down the ravine and got me out via the driver's side window (because the car was passenger side down) and after he asked if I was alright and was there any one else in the vehicle, he said "I didn't see you..."

If he'd had something like this on his mirror, I'm sure he would have seen me and life would be going on as usual....

@lisaviolet: Nice of him to stop, but if he'd been paying better attention, it wouldn't have happened. These mirrors won't help careless drivers or their victims.
tbase (above) is 100% right.
