I'm not a fan of MiRs either and that is the downside for me. There is an identical unit on eBay right now for $29.95 with free shipping if you don't want to lick a stamp and cool your heels for 90 days waiting to see if you didn't miss one of the correct things to attach to your package in order to get your rebate.
But if you absolutely positively need to save $1.55 (don't forget the stamp and even less if you have to drive to the bank) then by all means buy it.
