Not a bad price for a drive if you are not super concerned about the speed. Still faster then a platter.
I just installed the 120GB version in a Toshiba laptop for my kid. I used Acronis Clone and popped it in. No issues so far, granted it's only a week but the initial install was very easy. Just a heads up, the rebate is in the form of one of those prepaid credit cards, in this case from American Express. At least it was for me on th OCZ site.
Glad to see these are starting to be less then $1 a GB
I have one of these in a t420 laptop with Windows 7. From post to login is about 7 seconds.
anybody have negatives on it? I keep hearing bad things about OCZ....
And the reviews on newegg back it up.
@jdelvoie: I am not sure about there older drives like this one but the newer 3 models have received many great reviews so it may have just been a problem with this model. Here are just 2 of the reviews:
OCZ REVOdrive 3 9/10

OCZ Agility 3 8/10

Im glad to see these prices coming down. I built my system almost a year ago and a 60gb was ~$120 for a good drive. I've changed what applications I use and 60gb for a system drive isn't quite sufficient anymore. I think upgrade time is around the corner. Having an SSD for a main drive with a platter drive for archival purposes is amazing. My virtual windows xp install boots in about 5-6 seconds. I love it. :)
