@rmsalt: I have that lens, It is great. you can get reasonably close and then a nice zoom. I need a good ultra wide and a super zoom.

I have a 28-80. wondering if this 18-55 is worth it... I guess I'll find out. I'm in!

@boosturtle: My D3100 came with this one too. For being a kit lens, I like it quite a bit. I'd say this was worth it, definitely.
