The price is right, but it's definitely buyer beware. Read the posts of previous purchases - some people posted that all they received were either broken usb hubs or air fresheners. Be prepared so don't be too disappointed.
I'm really tempted to give it a whirl.. it will be my first random box o junk. lol Oh what the heck anyone else going in on one?
After reading the reviews I think I'll pass on this.
Hmm basically they're doing the same as every other deals site tries to do: clear out inventory. The only thing is, us spoiled Woot fanboys are used to awesome leftover Woot stuff. I guess they carry mostly useless stuff - hence most of the reviews say that the mystery box is a good value, but still is comprised mostly of useless junk.
I guess one company's junk is another man's useless junk.
I got a mystery box once before. I got an air freshener (eh not toooo bad. My car was smelly anyway), a 5pack of blank DVDs, and a guitar hero guitar faceplate. Its the slow mans BOC as you can still get one hours after it shows up, kinda makes you feel special. Ish.

I did it once before and got a fairly decent box of stuff. Woot's BOC is much better, but that goes without saying. ;) Still, it is what it is, mystery crap.
So strange, the bad reviews made me want it even more. For about $10 for 5, what the the heck. More of a sure thing than playing the lottery.

I've done this a few times, and its that bad of a mystery box. It doesn't match woot's loveliness, but it is still fun nonetheless. I think the big ticket items I have gotten from them were probably a Usb VGA adapter for additional monitors, a coat rack, Xbox 360 game, and hdmi cables. Nothing great, but for 1.49, can't really complain.
I'm in for 5. 12 bucks for 5 pieces of junk that maybe I'll use someday.. Why not? I've wasted money on worse things.

I thought I was just buying five boxes. Aren't these just boxes? Why do they have stuff in them? I don't get it.
Figure ill give it a try... 10$ for something that I can buy without competing with a sniping program like the BOC.... ehh why not.

I bought one of these last year, and while it is nowhere near the quality of a Woot haul, I got some pretty good crap. In my box from them I received,
- 1 pack of 3 car air fresheners
- 1 3' HDMI cable
- 1 towel rack with hardware to mount to the wall
- 5 blank dvd-rs
I am pretty sure the towel rack is still on the floor in my office right next to the unopened dvd-rs and air fresheners, but I did use the HDMI cable so it was not a complete loss.
Perhaps against my better judgment, I'm in for 5. I'll report on what I got in about 2 weeks.
As someone else said, I've spent more money on useless stuff where I DID know what it was.
Fool me once ... because I'm giving them the opportunity. When will I learn?
@pamipa: Don't count on it. Unless they value a towel rack at about 100$ you wont be getting $150 worth of stuff, but you should get more value than what you spent.
Don't do it. These guys ship you nothing but junk. Last time I bought 10 and I got almost nothing good. The best thing that I got was a 5 pack of DVD-RAM discs. Everything else was bad.
yeah midnight actually sent me an e-mail about this going up at 12:00 last night. I have to say the only mystery box i bought from them was a let down and i will not be buying one of these

5 guys in our dorm hall in for 25 total. We're not expecting anything great but definitely will be a lot of fun. We'll try to post a video on youtube :)
I have a question. What is that a picture of in the deal? Is that an iPhone? I do not approve of the use of such pictures unless an iPhone is really being given away.
I'm expecting that each bag might have an actual value of about $2. I am quite confident that it will be nowhere near the $30 purported.

To the people that got this before....Was it under the same management it is now? I know they switched sometime last year.
I have gotten 2 boxes from the old management people and one was pretty good and the other was about $.50 of old cables no one would ever use again.
So I did buy this one because I haven't gotten one under the new management yet and am kinda interested.
The on time I did good was a bluetooth transmitter thing that retailed for 90 bucks and I sold it on ebay for around 55. Everything I had already had bluetooth so I had no use for it.

Seriously people, it's a BOX of CRAAAAP! You're not going to get a 48" flat screen for 1 dollar plus shipping. You're gonna get crap worth about 1-5 dollars. You're paying for the suspense...the not knowing what you're coming home to when it finally arrives. Get a grip.

I will make use of the first 2, so almost got my $11 worth in merch. It was exciting opening the package, so overall no regrets.

Overall not terrible, been meaning to get a memory card reader and now I don't have to. The PSP to FM only works with the PSP which sucks. The Backup thing I think is just basically 5 blank dvd's so not terrible and I hate apple so the hard cases are getting donated to some other poor sap.
Eh, it was fun. Not sure if I could fork out another 10 bucks for it but may do it anyways.
Got mine, guess I was expecting more than one item per "box" (yes I know its only $1.50, but still!). So one box with 4 items:
-iFM FM radio and remote for PSP (off to ebay or Craig's maybe?)
-Clickfree MS Office backup - not really sure what this is, have not opened.
-Dynex Memory Card Reader/Writer - no real use, laptop has slot
-iPod Shuffle case/covers.
As someone said, its more the suspense of "what-if". Truly makes me even more bummed to miss the BOC today. The one I did manage to get last year was such a lot of fun, many items.
