I hate VeriSign to verify online credit cards orders. I get denied most of the time for any online purchases though VeriSign. I had to call Officemax to complete the order. Glad I was able to get this deal. Thanks Woot!

So I called Office max locally to see if this was good for instore as well. They said it was an online sale only. But I could print off the sale and bring it into the store and they would give the online sale price to me. That's great I said. Will it work with instore coupons as well. Depends what the coupon is for he said. Well I have a $10 off coupon of $20 purchase or more instore only. Yep I think that works too. Well now, that is a great deal!!

Might be useful come game time when I want to watch the game in peace.. I can slap this on the girlfriend that will prevent her from talking much, lol...

The B2G1 sale is also applicable to other scotch tape "varieties"

This is a good price if you want the tan tape. I am not sure of the quality (mainly the thickness and the lack of it splitting into spaghetti strings of tape) of this particular tape. I think I'll "stick" with my Scotch packaging tape from Costco; this month (starting on groundhog day) you can buy the 8 pack of the premium clear Scotch brand packaging tape at $7.00 off per package, bringing the price of the 56 yard roll down to around $1.62. Great for a small shipping business! The Costco Scotch packaging tape is the best quality of any packaging tape out around!

Hey there GREENHORNET, you'd better hope your girlfriend doesn't read this thread or I'll bet more than her mouth will be closed!!

Still able to order, but items are backordered. In for 3!

Very good deal. The same length 3M Packing or Shipping tape is always about $5 ea. I've been buying a lot of my tape for cheaper stuff that I ship thru Ebay\Amazon at Dollar Tree though, but the quality is subpar.

How do you get the free shipping? Office Max site says have to spend 46.40 before getting free shipping.

I ordered this deal on Jan 28, and today they cancelled my order:

Dear OfficeMax Customer:

Last week SCOTCH 3750 HEAVY DUTY PACKAGING TAPE was displayed on the OfficeMax.com website with an incorrect price that was inadvertently generated by an automated pricing program.

As is standard practice by all national retailers, OfficeMax disclaims offers from typographical errors. Your order included the tape, item number 07003716, which was inadvertently shown with an incorrect price.

The correct retail price for the tape is $10.49. This product was incorrectly shown with a price of $1.80.

Because the incorrect pricing is a typographical error and not a valid offer from OfficeMax, all orders relating to the incorrect price have been canceled. This includes your order noted above. If you have other items on this order, you will be contacted to confirm you still would like to receive the other items on the order.

Got the same thing Hallmike. Bass Turds.....

@hallmike I just got that same email. Very reminiscent of the of the Staples debacle from a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, it seems like these a-holes aren't even the slightest bit remorseful and wont be offering any kind of actual reimbursement besides the product price. Definitely poor customer service.
