2 good movies, and European Vacation.

I consider myself a fairly well-rounded film fan, especially when it comes to comedies, but I have never found Caddyshack to be funny, despite having watched it several times. I feel like the odd man out when the film is brought up in conversation, but I can't be the only one!?

First thing that bothers me on bluray deals like this is what the picture quality is. On old flicks like this sometimes they just "remaster" (transcode) the DVD to the bluray, and on some of THEM, the DVD was a crappy copy of the movie anyway, so you get a VHS tape on a bluray disc. yay. So, anyone know what sort of quality these are?

Second thing is, there's not usually a lot in the way of special fx that justifies going bluray on older shows like this. Good sound sometimes makes the difference - pale rider was a good example of excellent sound on bluray. But I can't imagine the audio track being too important on either of these titles? (I think we can all agree to ignore euro vacation while discussing this deal)

blu-ray.com has some great descriptions of the movies. Personally, I think it's pretty hard to argue with the final price of $3.33 per movie even for a very minor quality increase. I've purchased pretty much everything I owned on DVD on BD though, so take that with a grain of salt. I think there's only 12 or so titles left I don't have yet, but will within a few months. I probably replaced well over 100 DVDs.

@pleepleus: I just don't feel like replacing my DVDs with blurays "just because I can". If I'm not going to get any improvement in quality or maybe some extras, it's not worth $3. It's worth $0.
