So, I love my Barnes and Noble Simple Touch. Lots of people here might be looking for a "do it all" device and this is not it. This is only an e-reader. It's a great one though. You can get library books, and with Calibre you can get Kindle books too. You can add storage, but I see no reason you would need to.

I don't think this is much of a deal. A new one at Barnes and Noble is only $79 right now, so this will save you less than $15. Usually I'm all for refurbs, and this device is hardy it doesn't scratch.

You can get this direct from Barnes and Noble on their eBay site for $65 and free shipping.

I bought one when the 'buy a refurb Nook Color, get a refurb Simple Touch for $20' deal ran a few months ago, made my total investment less than $140. Every other B&N device deal must be compared to that one. Love the Color, now rooted and truly a nice little device, but as an e-ink reader the Simple Touch is great too. Battery charge lasts a ridiculously long time.
All that said, is it worth $65? To me, that's a bit high, but if I traveled more(or something with lots more down time), perhaps it would be worth it.

I love my Kindle Touch and think it's a superior device. I still use it even since I've gotten the Fire. If you're a reader though, $65 is a great deal for an ereader IMO.

They're clearing these out for the new glowy ones. I'm perfectly happy with mine even without the glow light, and either one is way better than a Kindle.

I picked one up for $59.99 the other day. It comes today :-D

But still $65 is a good price.

Dang, I missed out on the $59 deal so I jumped at this one. :) I have an older Sony reader, so it's time to upgrade!

I hope they don't use the same Charger cable the nook color uses...otherwise you will be buying a couple a year...and B& N doesn't think its a bad design...so there...!

@nycesq: I can't access eBay through work, so I hope BN is the actual seller.

I bought a first Gen with Cellular as refurb a year and a half ago. It is still working great and love it as an ereader. The touch is even lighter and smaller, but misses out on some cool features of the older model. My Sister and her husband have the Touch and love it. Either one makes for great reader and is nice to read even outside.

@hoon84lee: Plus you have to deal with ebay.
