Good price I suppose, but mostly bad reviews on amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Rumford-Gardener-75-Feet-Expanding-Hose/dp/B00AE23LDC/ref=pd_bxgy_lg_img_z) (if it's the same manufacturer) about breaking after few weeks

yup. the hose itself is fine, but the little swivel nozzle that's used to lengthen the hose is super flimsy and it broke fairly quickly. now i have a short, wrinkled hose.

@willars: I have the same problem but I blame the combination of age and genetics.

It's funny that the first picture shows a mostly metal connector, while the others all show plastic.

I haven't bought this exact hose. I bought 2 (both 50 ft.) of the green ones from Bed Bath and Beyond as a gift for my Step Dad. I got them for $15.00 ea. using the $5 of $20 coupons ($16 if you use the %20 off coupons). They do work but as stated the plastic couplers are too cheap! They didn't even use a good plastic? Within 2 days the coupling that attaches to the spigot broke when my step dad pulled on the hose. I repaired it but the brass fittings and couplers were more than the hose. This lasted for about 2 weeks but I guess he left the water on (there were no hot days avg 60 temp range) the hose broke not where I repaired it but about 2 feet from the spigot. The other is still working for now but I would hold on to the receipt because you are more than likely going to need it!

If you are going to buy one of these I would try the Dap X-hose with the Brass fittings that I've seen on TV. The only thing is I would wait for them to make it to the stores!!!

The Giz Wiz Dick Debartolo reviewed these last week and did not give the hoses very high marks.

Bought two of these and gave one to my MIL. It broke after her using it three days. She uses it to fill a dog water bowl so after about 45 total seconds of use over those three days it broke.
