I was torn about saving $5 to support this organization. This claim on their site sounds strangely familiar: "Expected Jobs Created and Retained: 2,300" Kind of like me saying that my excellent driving skills has created or retained thousands of lives on the road.
Can someone please identify just 1 job they have created other than the ones to manage the millions given to them by starbucks and everyone who bought this deal?
I'm not saying that they haven't but am asking if they actually have done what they say. This may be another case of trying to prove a negative..? Which is impossible and that is maybe how they can get away with these types of claims.
I am happy to donate $ if they are actually doing what they say..

Awesome (transfer it to your regular STARBUCKS Card if you have one)

I usually just go in for an Iced Coffee while I study before class, and since I'm a gold member(you can even be green to get it) I get free refills. Drink 3 and you paid 1.95 for a trenta.

well, I got it to go through one time now I have four more transactions pending...I think I'll just stop now

vote-for1vote-against

@walkingsnake: i got that when i tried to buy a 2nd card using a different google account and the same (Discover) cc. i changed to my Chase visa as pmt and it went thru. don't know if that was just luck or what. BTW, as posted above, make sure you keep an eye on yr cc charges. all the failed attempts went thru as pnd charges on my discover card.

I've tried 5 times now and just keep getting this:

I don't like their coffee, but this is a perfect little gift for someone I know who can't live without it ;)

@bond007taz: This is legit. If you have a google account, they just really want you to add your credit card info in the Google wallet. I got the deal and forwarded it to my girlfriends Starbucks card. Didn't have to print it and saved paper.
Add credit card and delete after you get offer.

If you already have a Starbucks card, you can use the codes and simply "transfer fund" from this e-gift card to your existing card (mine is on my phone) through the Starbucks.com interface, assuming that you have registered. It's very easy.

vote-for14vote-against

and, if you register yr card at starbucks.com, you get a free drink on yr bday.

mmmmmm... half off for burnt coffee

vote-for1vote-against

fyi...i bought 3, 1 each using my, DD and DH's google accounts. but--several times the transaction didn't go thru and i had to resubmit. so, now i have 3 gift cards and FIFTEEN pending transactions on my discover account. yeah, fifteen. they're still in the pending stage and google offers say the non-legit charges will be canceled, etc, but for those of you who've had to resubmit a few times, bear in mind :-)

@inkycatz: Hey. Just saw you in here. I did a little dusting.

vote-for1vote-against

Bought my first one no trouble, but on my second gmail account it didn't go through. Either a server issue or maybe I need to use a different credit card?

vote-for7vote-against

I just don't talk politics before I get my coffee in. (Which is to say, in on this deal, thanks for posting!)

In for 2, as I have a Star$'s next to my office. I'm using this deal to reload my Starbucks Gold card which in turn gets me free drinks pretty regularly anyway!

If you go to the store at least 30 times a year (a little more than 2x / month) it's worth it to register for free online. You'll get free perks, and a cool gold card with your name on it!

With the prices at StarBUCKS being what they are, I imagine this will buy one small coffee? Or I believe they call it a 'pene.'

Starbucks servers are getting slammed right now. Definitely recommend using your android/iphone app to input the card then transfer later...if you have the capability

vote-for2vote-against

Was just about to add this, lol, this is a good deal

vote-for3vote-against

@bobmctooth: If you have the iPhone app you can manually enter the card into your account then transfer the balance to your regular card. This can also be done online but starbucks servers (do they call their "servers" baristas too?) seem to be loading rather slow.

I posted this deal yesterday but I think it got deleted because the deal was not active yet.... not complaining... just looking for cool points. lol

Fantastic deal, even better that $3 gets donated to Opportunity Finance Network. They're an exceptional organization, working with a lot of local organizations to get Americans back to work.

vote-for3vote-against

got one too! thanks this was an easy transfer to existing starbucks card

vote-for0vote-against

@lichme: the link here took me to Philadelphia google offers but i switched to my city and the deal was there also, front and center :)
i'm already subscribed to my city's google offers emails

thanks for posting, OP! now to tell everyone i know too

vote-for4vote-against

@linkage89: Ah, my max quantity is purchased, not the deals. Gotcha. Thanks!

vote-for8vote-against

@lichme: I only got that message after I bought one

vote-for2vote-against

You can only buy one per account - However I don't know if it is sold out yet or not on mine the timer is still running however I cannot purchase another one

vote-for2vote-against

Maximum purchased - that was fast, wonder if it is per area

vote-for27vote-against

when you go and redeem the card through the google offers e-mail they send you it gives you the option to just add it to your starbucks account online - real quick and real painless (secret tip you can get multiple if you have multiple gmail accounts shhhhhhhh mums the word)

vote-for3vote-against

Purchased. Is there a way to combine gift cards online? Or will I just have to print this out and take it in?

vote-for5vote-against

Thanks!

Had to close the pop-up and then was able to purchase.

vote-for4vote-against

@jimmyd103: I just had to close out that popup and then I could buy it.

vote-for-3vote-against

Anyone able to purchase an e-gift card yet? When I sign into my Google Offers account I get this message,
'Starbucks and Google Offers are teaming up to bring you a one-day-only exclusive offer. Stay tuned to your inbox.'
