Wonder if this could be added at the end of my current Prime membership...?

vote-for1vote-against

this is awesome, my free one month trial I got for Christmas just ended. worked out perfectly

vote-for1vote-against

I'd go for this if I didn't already pay for it! Prime rules.

vote-for1vote-against

It worked, wow. Hope they don't revoke it for cheats. Thanks!

vote-for1vote-against

Excellent! Worked for me exactly as described, thanks!

vote-for1vote-against

I just bought the bullit and payed for prime this morning after the xmas free trial. jerks, great deal though

vote-for2vote-against

This a great deal for those who buy a lot of things from amazon but have not yet discovered prime. While not for everyone, I purchase enough from amazon that I would not want to be without prime.

vote-for2vote-against

Unfortunately, it doesn't work if you're currently a Prime member. Hopefully this deal will still be around in 10 days when my current trial ends, but I'll be surprised if it is. :(

vote-for1vote-against

Note: This does not work if you have tried the Prime trial and canceled before.

vote-for1vote-against

@krono225: not true,i had prime b4 & still got it.

vote-for1vote-against

danieldkuntz < what he said...A-Prime is the beez kneez. on top of free 2-day shipping on darn-near everything, every once in a while, they (Amazon) ship your order next-day for free!

vote-for1vote-against

Sweet, thank for this. My last trial just expired.

vote-for1vote-against

Nice. It even lets you share your Prime membership with 4 people. Awesome, thanks.

vote-for1vote-against

nice thanks, 3 more months of prime, too bad i placed 2 orders earlier today.

vote-for2vote-against

Worked for me too and I was able to add my kids' accounts to piggyback as well. Thanks.

vote-for2vote-against

Other important information you should know if you don't plan on going past the 3 month trial period....

Terms from the Amazon site:

Click the button below to start your 3-month Free Trial - you won't be charged now. If you want to continue after your Free Trial, do nothing. Your membership will automatically continue and we'll charge your credit card $79 for the next year and annually after that. If you prefer, you can choose "do not auto upgrade" before the initial charge, or "do not auto renew" before any renewal charge in Your Account and your credit card won't be charged for the next year. You can always request a refund of the most recent charge if your benefits haven't been used in the new term. If we're unable to charge the credit card above, we'll charge another credit card we have on file for you.

5 months ago I had 3 orders on my Amazon account for the year. Then I signed up for prime.

Last time I checked I'm at 102 this year.

Stupid Amazon Prime and your convenient fast shipping and low prices.

vote-for1vote-against

Worked fine for me, I had previously had a trial membership as well. I think I am going to keep auto upgrade on, though. It's seriously worth the money, folks. I freaking love Amazon.

vote-for1vote-against

Ha Ha it worked. Awesome :) Thank you!

vote-for2vote-against

Or you can just go to the Amazon Prime info page and sign up from there. Much easier, still 3-month.

vote-for1vote-against

Thanks man! I can now get my items SLIGHTLY faster! ^_^

I hope there aren't any negative repercussions for cheating the system...

vote-for1vote-against

Thanks1 just signed up for my Prime trial.

vote-for1vote-against

not a Prime Member, followed the second instructions, rather than the ones on the deal itself. Worked perfectly, got 3 months for free. Two day free shipping, for 3 months, who can pass that up?

vote-for1vote-against

thank you for this. Still have Christmas shopping to do! Eh..

vote-for1vote-against

Thanks OP, worked perfectly. Been looking for a chance to jump and try Prime.

There's a little clause on the popup that appears for stopping auto-renewal that says they might disqualify you from future Prime trials. So, instead of canceling auto-renewal, I just created a Google Calendar entry for the day before the trial ends so I can cancel it in time.

vote-for3vote-against

I hate to be the wet noodle, but this is available with any item that is sold by Amazon and is available at any time and has been for as long as I can remember. It's not a secret code or cheat, it's there, everyday, all the time and there is more than 1 opportunity to start the trial. :^)

vote-for1vote-against

Great deal there, thanks a lot, worked perfectly as mentioned.

vote-for2vote-against

@searayjim: Usually it is for only 1 month, and it is sporadic at best. This is for 3!

vote-for1vote-against

Awesome! Worked for me as well!

vote-for1vote-against

Totally worked! You are truly doing the Lords work my son.

vote-for1vote-against

This offer is good through 2-5-2010! It is valid with thousands of different textbooks, not just the one linked in OP. My prime just expired yesterday, and I had no problem getting this three months today.

See http://www.amazon.com/gp/prime/signup/textbooks.html on Amazon for details.

Link to all eligible textbooks: http://www.amazon.com/New-Used-Textbooks-Books/b/ref=prime_prm_tblp?_encoding=UTF8&node=465600

"Qualify for Amazon Prime free for 3 months when you order any eligible textbook and enjoy the benefits that come with membership.
There's no obligation--cancel anytime before your free trial is over and you will not be charged the $79 annual fee. Offer valid through February 5, 2010."

vote-for1vote-against

Worked great for me! I'm looking forward to trying this out. I've only heard good things about it. Thanks for the deal!

vote-for1vote-against

My one month trial expired yesterday and I love Prime. I tried doing this but it's not working :(

vote-for2vote-against

@rudeboy2025: try logging out of your account, clearing "amazon" cookies, and try again. Or alternatively, use a different browser.

vote-for1vote-against

@elezar: According to Amazon offer is valid until Feb 5, 2010.

vote-for1vote-against

worked fine for me, and turning off the auto upgrade was easy enough :)

vote-for1vote-against

This is great, thanks! I love Amazon but have never tried Prime. Time to buy some stuff... ;-)

vote-for1vote-against

Didn't work for me... they must have cleaned it up

vote-for1vote-against

nice, just signed up. thanks for this!

vote-for2vote-against

Heads up to anyone doing this, they bill you for the full price of prime after the trial is over. For anyone who was just interested in getting a free trial, trial-user be warned!

"Even though the trial membership is free, we check payment methods at the time you sign up because at the end of the trial period we will automatically upgrade your membership and charge your card for a one-year membership."

vote-for1vote-against

sweet! loved prime for the holidays now i got prime for a few birthdays coming up too!

vote-for1vote-against

@bradchristie: you can just select do not upgrade now under the account options, and you still get your free trial for the term stated and they will not bill you after.

vote-for1vote-against

Awesome deal! Thanks for posting!

vote-for1vote-against

It works perfectly. I had a free 30 day membership from Christmas. I canceled 1 hours prior to using this offer. I got my $79 back, since I haven't used the Prime membership after the 30 day trial. I used it for about 20 gifts at Christmas. I love Amazon, fast delivery, great customer service, good prices, and best of all NO SALES TAX in IL. Now I have another 3 months of 2 day delivery for free. I was going to cancel it anyway, since I usually order over $25 and I get my orders with Amazon within 3-5 days, I sometimes get it in 1 day, since I live in Chicago and must be near an Amazon warehouse.

vote-for1vote-against

@bradchristie: They will charge you the $79, but if you haven't used the service after the free trial, you get your $79 back. Plus, just go to your account page and find Manage PRIME, and hit don't auto renew. If you forget, as long as you have used the service after the trial Amazon gives you a full refund. I did it for Christmas with a free month.

vote-for1vote-against

@mrsly69: You aren't charged the $79 at all until you are "auto-renewed" at the end of the trial period.

vote-for1vote-against

I just finished my previous trial and this gives me 3 extra months. I would vote this up 20 times if I could.
