Good deal, I opted for $5 more for the Bluray 3D combo pack

Preordering movies has always been odd to me since it seems more often than not they're just as cheap or cheaper immediately after release. I had that happen with something I bought not long ago and it was kind of frustrating. Amazon matches prices if something is lowered after your preorder and before release, but not after release.

The blockbuster movies on blu-ray generally don't come out any cheaper than $19.99. Still, it's going to be a while until this comes out so I think I'll hold off.

Well it wasn't that it became cheaper necessarily, it was that a better version of the same movie became the same price.

I'll wait for Target to make a mistake with the pricing for the 3-disc combo pack, like they did with The Avengers.

Just watched this yesterday in IMAX 3D.

Looking forward to re-watching at home with this deal.

Thanks OP.

@starbob: Some people just have to have stuff when it's first released (I'm not one of them)...and for those folks, Amazon's pre-order price match system is a pretty fair deal. It's much better than just driving out to Best Buy or wherever on release day and forking out $25 or so, plus gas money and dealing with incompetent sales clerks.

@starbob: Amazon's pre-order price guarantee:

Pre-order Price Guarantee! Order now and if the Amazon.com price decreases between your order time and the end of the day of the release date, you'll receive the lowest price.

The lowest price guarantee will still price match up until the end of the day when it is released. If something doesn't go on sale the first day, chances of it going on sale the day after or within the week are very slim. I have pre-ordered a couple things and they were cheaper on release day and sure enough, I was credited back the money.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience with pre-ordering, I have loved it! Also, are you sure that you were never refunded the difference? Maybe you should go back and take a second look.

I would never spend more than $20 on a movie any how. Bluray isn't a premium anymore. $40?! All I have to say to that is, "YAARRRR!"
