@kettes: Depends on what kind of "school" you're implying. I would be more apt to think about a girl in some college, but I suppose if others get hot and bothered by the taboo thought of some young teenage girl in junior high, then I see your point.

You should know that "creepy" is nothing more than a matter of perspective though. Personally, I think someone who is over 100 years old marrying an 18 year old is incredibly creepy, but apparently the Twilight fanbase highly disagrees with me there.

I know you're all going to jump on me like you did kettes, but the whole women-in-lingerie all over woot just bugs me in general. I love the site, love the geekery, the smart comments, and of course the deals, but seeing the ohcheri and other lingerie submissions on the front page every freaking day makes this seem like an adolescent boys' club to which I am not invited. There, I said it.

@inkycatz: Thanks! My comment might have been a bit more cranky than I'd like; I was cranky last night.

I do vote them down sometimes, but not always, because they are often legitimately good deals, if you're into lingerie. But I'm always torn, because I know why they're voted up - not because folks are buying the items, but because men like to look at improbably skinny women with fake breasts in high heels.

Look, we've all got our eye candy; I get it. It just unsettles me, especially since, as this thread has shown, insulting, aggressive, and/or dismissive comments towards women seem to be encouraged in this context.
