One of the best Valentine's Day's ever was at a McDonald's. It was a fixed price with the full menu. The entire restaurant was decorated and waiters came around with menus and took your order and served your meal. There were candles and roses on the tables. McDonald's never looked so good! The best part was the whole thing was an affordable fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald House. I was a high school student and my girlfriend and I had a great time. I haven't eaten in a McDonald's for years. I would go in a heartbeat to relive this experience from 20 years ago.

Reminds me of a couple dining in Wilcox, AZ Burger King in July/Aug 1990 with an entire staff: limo, table linen, candles, wait staff etc.

I seriously doubt that. If you do it right this would be romantic as hell. If your wife is female with sense of humor. Valentine's Day is more about sentiment and effort than it is how much you spend. If you know what you are doing a single daisy will work better than a dozen roses

The "decoration" on the left side of that poster look rather phallic. My wife and I have attended this a couple times in the past few years, and it is FAR more interesting than waiting in line for some overpriced traditional restaurant. The staff is completely out of their element trying to provide table service. If you are looking for a fun night, give Whitey's a try. If you are trying to impress, stick with Chipotle.

It's true, Local.Woot is no longer, but please don't despair.

Never-ending savings are still to be found on Deals.Woot each and every day, so come on in. Don't think of it as a time for tears. Think of it as a way to bring us all closer together under one roof.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
