THats an amazing deals! i have the cheaper plastic one, which works fine for me. to bad i payed this much for the one i currently have

This was the cheapest I could find anywhere, plus I signed up for Amazon prime trial and got 2nd day shipping for free. I'm in for two, not sure how long this deal will last.

What a great deal... (As long as it isn't a knock off).

Jump at this if you don't have a case. One caveat, though: This, like many other cases, makes the phone bulky and it won't fit into certain devices without removing the case first.

Seems like many OtterBox cases are on sale. Just purchased the impact case for $9.82.

My friend has this and it sucks ass. You have to press down harder on the screen and even the bottom button has issues. I keep telling her to ditch it.

I was shopping for these a couple days ago. I don't believe the price is any deal as it hasn't changed. I ended up getting a somewhat cheap 15$ range leather pouch for my itouch. I've begun to realize how sensitive the screen is so my tapping is more graceful by the day.

Plus if you just keep it in your pocket without any keys etc. you don't need any case stuff at all. Klutzy people have created this market...

I would have to disagree with the above comment about this case "sucking". I did purchase this case for my wife last week (yes it was on sale last week too) for her new 3gs phone. The screen protector is built into the case and there is no noticeable difference in using the phone with or without the case as far as feel goes. The screen protector does seem to stick to the screen a little and gives an oil slick look when the phone is in stand by, it is not very noticeable when the phone is on. Apparently there are "fixes" for that...
This is a huge case and destroys the "sleek" or "sexy" look of the phone, but if you search youtube there are lots of test videos of people dropping their iphones 20 or 30 feet in height in these cases and having no damage to the phone. You loose the looks, but gain more protection then you reasonably will ever need even if you are very clumsy.

@mix: The iPhone screen does not work by pressure, it works by disruption in the electric field across the screen. So "pressing harder" is ineffective anyways. Most likely your friend doesn't have good contact between the screen protector and the actual screen, make sure all the air bubbles are out.

I was just looking at these last week for my husband.... what a steal... in for one!! Woot!

Got one of these bad boys as a gift last christmas, they paid the full $50. And i would highly recommend it at even that price. Iphone being uninsurable, this case has saved me from countless clumsy drops and some minor spills. The rubber like outer layer actually has sealing points for the charging port, headphone jack, and a thin screen over the earpiece and speaker/microphone pickups and of course a built-in screen protector. These features are great for little minor spills, making it liquid resistant not proof:)If you have your "graceful" moments and drop things, like me, and would hate to replace your $200-$400 phone because of a cracked screen or spilt coffee... do yourself a favor and make one of the best $20 investment you'll ever find, besides 40 tacos at Jack in the Box ;) Oh ya only negative, besides size, you do have to take the whole ensemble off for certain after market chargers. The original Apple AC and AT&T DC chargers fit great, along with anything about that width...

My sister and friend has this and they are the best cases I have ever seen for any phone, in fact its better to call it armor.

I wish I could use this for my phone!

I have iTouch so I can't use this, but I wish they came in different colours for iTouch! I'd even use a knockoff, just so I could have another colour bedises black! (like, say, purple! :D

CableJive has a dockXtender cable for $25+ that fits the Otterbox case and allows you to connect to other devices. It's a bit pricey for a cable, but it does work. I tried less expensive cables that either didn't fit the case, or didn't pass all pins for full function. You do get what you pay for.

I haven't had any problems with the screen or buttons. Its kinda bulky, but then again, I've driven over my phone and it didn't get a scratch. I think its worth it. This thing rocks!

This is the greatest iphone case ever for someone who uses their phone for work. I have this case and have personally dropped it out of a bucket truck 20 feet in the air and the only issue was the plastic hole for one of the speakers is slightly bent in.

A+ case indeed!

most awesomest case ever. ive had to take mine off several times so the silicone is really stretched out...so I may pick up a new one at this price

These cases are tough as they come and adds a tough look to the phone. Yes they are big and the screen does have the "oil slick" look but a little baby powder fixes that quickly ( check on YouTube for a video )

I paid almost $40 for mine and it was worth every cent!!!

vote-for1vote-against

This isn't really a sale, Amazon just sells them at this price all the time! That's not to say it isn't a fantastic deal, though. In regards to the "oil slick" problem, yes, it is true. I couldn't get the baby powder trick to work without the powder being annoyingly visible. My solution is just to tear off the screen protector that is attached to the Defender itself and install a standard screen protector (or, if you're feeling frisky, an InvisibleShield, but only on the screen, as if you installed the one on the back too, it'd be too thick).

I just stopped using my iPhone, switched the Evo 4g, then 3D a couple weeks later. I picked up the Otterbox Defender for the Evo 4G, and instantly fell in love with it.

I'm giving my iPhone 3GS to my 6 yr old to use as an iPod :) I'm getting her this case partly to help protect the phone from her, and partly so it's easier to carry. It's not like she has pockets most of the time :)

As for the 2 Otterbox's I've used for the Evo's, I might start buying phones in the future based on the availability of these cases, they are that good. And to the person saying you don't need a case like this unless you are a klutz, I say, why would I want to carry the phone in my pocket? that's about as inconvenient as it can be, other than being in a bag/backpack.

back on topic, i've had many cases for many phones, and NONE that I loved so much instantly that I would consider not buying a phone if the case wasn't available for it. But this one I just may do that.
