I ordered something from them nearly 3 weeks ago and still haven't gotten tracking info. Their customer support is limited to email too, and it takes them 3-5 days to reply to anything you write to them. Great if they send your stuff, not so great if you ever really plan on getting what you order.

Have an older model Roku. "Fringe" is the only thing I've watched on broadcast TV since getting it. And when I miss "Fringe," I can buy it from the Amazon Roku channel for $1.99 and watch instantly. I only wish there was a better CBS channel (would like to get full episodes of Craig Ferguson) and I wish there was a YouTube channel (for the same reason!).

I bought this a couple of weeks ago from them. Everything arrived on time and worked fine for me.

Bought one from Ben's Outlet for $15 more last week. >_>

I bought this from 1saleaday.com last time it was on here (a few weeks ago ish). It arrived in a reasonable amount of time, about a week after i ordered it. at first it wouldn't connect to my wifi, so I had to plug it in with ethernet to download a firmware update. but ever since then it's been working great!

I got this off woot for the same price a couple weeks ago and I have to say, flawless product! Looks new and zero problems so far. Plex + Roku is a nice way to stream media easily from a NAS. Not too mention all the other apps on the Roku...Now if only Slingbox had a Roku App, I'd be all set on a TV in the bedroom.

I received mine in the mail today, from the last 1saleday sale. The batteries that came with the unit were bad. However, I can't complain with this being such a great deal.

@bahman1993: My latest order (not a Roku) took two weeks to ship out, coincidentally on the day after I e-mailed a very polite query. That's the first time, though, that they took more than their official stated ship window. With that in mind, I've been very happy with 1Sale/Ben's.

i ordered a roku lt 4 days ago from the factory, it arrived today, im 100% satisfied!!! ill be picking up one of these now for the den at this price^^

@robio: You can get YouTube (along with a plethora of other services, including Spotify) by running the Plex Media Server (which is free for Mac, Windows, & Linux) and installing the (free) Plex channel on the Roku. I also stream all my media from my Mac using Plex. It works great!

I bought one of these from 1saleaday near the start of the month, received my Roku within 2 weeks and surprisingly enough was sent two units for some reason. No complaints about either of them, one was in mint condition the other had clearly seen a bit of use, both work perfectly fine. Gotta love getting two for half the price of a new unit.

1saleaday is a pretty good company as long as you temper your expectations on delivery time and the occasional inability to fulfill your order. It will take you a while to get what you ordered but rest assured you will get it or a refund with incredibly low prices on a few select items. I ordered one of these last time it was $49.95, I still haven't gotten it but knew going in it wouldn't get here quick.

One of my five Rokus is a 1saleaday refurb (roku 2 ks). No problems at all. Another is a meritline refurb. With the meritline unit, there was a problem with the remote and Roku sent me another in a couple days. Refurbs are warranted as new, so these are a great deal. The 2 xs is the best Roku. It's 1080p and has a port for usb disk for media and the remote is bluetooth. Love these, but they are not a replacement for cable -- more of an enhancement. Live, local, and sports are virtually nonexistent. Be careful of the hyperbole -- Roku users are a cult ;-)

Im not really sure how this company is still in business, google them and consumeraffairs, that is all you really need to know. I have been burned by this company not once but twice and try to make sure that other people are aware of the hassle they may be subjected too. You might get your product and you might not, and customer support is about zero...

I hope the negative commenters aren't confusing this sales company, 1saleaday with dailysteals, which is easy to do. I bought a Roku 2 xs from dailysteals and it took over a month to get it. At first Roku shipped out Roku 2 xd units. I ordered another xs from 1saleaday and it arrived in timely fashion. It's going to be a gift so I haven't tried it out. This deal is $10 cheaper than the dailysteals deal, same as previous 1saleaday deal.

@djames42: FYI, Spotify released an official Roku channel last week.

Love my Roku 2 XS so much I bought an XD for my parents for their family room and -- shhhh, don't tell! -- just bought another XS for my mom's birthday for her bedroom.

I run the plex media server and share it to mine, to theirs and to another relative's roku two hours away.

If I wanted to, I could cut cable completely, but right now, the convenience is just too easy still.

I can't wait until Vizio has a Plex app for its smart televisions. If it doesn't happen soon, I think I'm going to have to add another Roku to my configuration.

I've never had a problem with any of them, so I can't say yea or nay on their customer service, but all three have been refurbs -- one from Roku itself, one from 1saleaday (I think), and the third from Ben's Outlet (I, too, paid $10 more last week). The two I've received have been pristine, with the original plexiwrap on them.

Even if you don't have Plex, I find I like the Hulu Plus app a lot more on Roku than on my tv or Tivo.

HORRIBLE place to buy ANYTHING from. 3 weeks passed and I never recieved any info for my order.
it took a week for someone to reply. They kept telling me that they were sending. Restocking. Etc...
nothing showed up in my email for another week. I even forgot about it. 2 MORE weeks passed by and they said the item was on BACKORDER. What the heck? I'd NEVER do business with this place again.
It took YET ANOTHER week to get my money back.,

I had LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE and SHIPPING PROBLEMS from 1saleaday.com!

I ordered a Canon DSLR lens from 1saleaday on November 27, which was going to be a Christmas gift, and HAVE NOT YET RECEIVED IT!!

1saleaday.com policy states, "orders are generally shipped within 7 to 10 business days"

On business day11 (December 12), I received a message with a "tracking number" for UPS, which, on the UPS website showed (and still shows) the message, "A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated."

multiple contacts to customer service (each with 24 - 48 hour turnaround) and multiple reassurances, most recently on Dec 20, when iI was told, by email, "You can expect delivery shortly."

yeah, right....

I will never order from them again.

@sdurett: Did you mean the factory in China or from "Roku" as in the company (verses this company selling this refurb here)?

vote-for5vote-against

@098raynman: What 1sale and Ben's frequently does is ,they create the label for the item, send you an email suggesting it has shipped but it has not been picked up by the carrier yet,it's just in the system.I don't know why they do this because it's not honest. I've ordered from them many times and have always got what I ordered but it has taken up to a month.

vote-for1vote-against

@stumpy91: Agreed, Dailysteals is the pits they will never get any more of my money. If you like surprises then order from Dailysteals....surprise we cancelled your order without telling you and we can take 9 weeks to credit your account....surprise we shipped your order is a plastic bag and you may have to glue all the pieces back together...surprise we don't answer your emails.....surprise we havent shipped your order yet ...etc

I have purchased lots of stuff from 1saleaday.com. I am always careful to read reviews about what I am getting. I have not had a problem with anything. In fact, I was missing some components for one thing that I bought there. I contacted them about it and they shipped the missing pieces right away and were very pleasant to deal with. I guess missing some stuff was a problem in itself. However, I have had that with some other purchases from various companies.

I have a couple of Roku players that were refurbs and they work great. I would not hesitate to get one again should I need another.

@kvellano: Hi, I did get a Roku controller from Slingbox and am looking at Roku from anywhere over the web.

I bought this on 12/12 and received shipment confirmation and tracking number on 12/13. I still haven't received so I contacted 1saleaday and this is what they said: Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you for your recent purchase. We know you had many choices this holiday season and we appreciate your patronage.
Due to the overwhelming response to our holiday deals, our warehouse is experiencing an unusually high volume of orders. While we are making every possible effort to ensure that packages are shipped out in a timely manner, there may be delays in filling some of the orders.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we attempt to fulfill your order in an expedited manner. At this time your shipments estimated to ship by December 23rd 2012.
We apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused and look forward to filling your future orders in timely manner.
Wishing you and your loved ones Happy Holidays,Jennifer
Supposed to get 12/26. Too late! Customer Service is NO help!

I praised onesaleaday several times on this site based on prior orders. Yes, the orders took an average of 2-3 weeks to arrive, but always came in working condition and with a very good price.

However, on Dec. 9 I ordered a PC from them. Nothing shipped, only listed at "processing" two weeks later. From past experience I know nothing is happening until you get a shipping number assigned - and FROM THEN you can expect another 2 weeks or so as it sits somewhere as others have mentioned.

By the way, my credit card was charged immediately on Dec. 9. I'm not sure how they can get away with taking your money so fast and then having such incessant delays on delivery.

The PC was supposed to be a Christmas gift for my nephew so that isn't going to happen. Tomorrow I will send a request to cancel my order and make a refund so I can take advantage of ordering from another vendor who may cost a bit more, but at least delivers orders in a reasonable amount of time.

vote-for2vote-against

@sarisin: Unfortunately, the do not accept cancellations. Here is their policy: Unfortunately, we are unable to change or cancel an order once it has been submitted. Oh and please, do not tell us you've placed an order by accident. The mad geniuses at 1SaleADay.com tested this and confirmed that this is scientifically impossible.

I am in the same situation that you are in. My dad will not be getting his Christmas present. I will never do business with this company again. This was my first time and my last time.

I've had two entirely satisfactory recent experiences with 1saleaday.com. I ordered a Mohu Leaf on 11/23 and received it on 12/1. I ordered the Roku 2 XS last time it was available, on 12/12, and it arrived 12/22. Maybe not as fast as Amazon but for the price I'm not complaining. They provide accurate ship date and tracking information (links to UPS/USPS tracking). I was wary at first but wouldn't hesitate to order from them again.

vote-for1vote-against

@sanctifiedsax: Yea that's easy. I want to watch my slingbox on my Roku, not the other way around. There's a forum on Slingbox's site thats been open for over a year now requesting a Slingbox Channel for Roku (so you can watch/control your Slingbox from Roku)...Slingmedia apparently doesn't care.

vote-for1vote-against

@bahman1993: they do tend to e slow sometimes but all in all I've always gotten what I ordered or was refunded on the one instance they couldn't fill an order....

Wit that said....for anyone who doesn't own a roku this USA great price on an awesome product. I own two of these (on is the limited editin revs one) and I use them both all the time....and the Ethernet port is extremely handy as I've noticed even on N WiFi the Ethernet option seems to stream more reliably.

Love the Roku2XS I bought from Woot for $60 a couple months ago. 1saleaday seems to be hit or miss. I ordered 3 things in a row that all arrived within a week or so. Then I ordered something I NEEDED (router for my business) and the mofo took FIVE WEEKS to arrive. First email query was ignored. Second was responded to promptly and within a week the item shipped. Go figure.

HELP!!! I am having trouble ordering. When the Roku XS came available in November on 1-sale-a-day I tried to Order and set up an account but kept getting error message saying there servers were too busy. I tried for over 12 hours but the offer expired before I could get any results. Again today I have been trying for the last 14 hours but am again getting no where. I have tried multiple times on my computer, Ipad, and Iphone but get the same message every time I try to set up the account to order. Any suggestions? Are their Servers really that busy or am I just doing something wrong.

Thanks

I've ordered things from 1 Sale-a-Day in the past (not Dailysteals or Ben's). I prefer to call them 1 SAD, because they might make you ... um ... sad.

They do often deliver within a month, but if you have a timeframe for this purchase, consider paying more and buying elsewhere.

Does anyone know if the newer model of Roku still have the same issues with HULU as the older one? Hulu acts like it uses to much ram and after watching a few show or trying to do something quick in the HULU menu it will freeze the Roku and I have to unplug and reset the machine.

vote-for1vote-against

@gentmark: that is the same generic response they leave to all customers, they just added in the holiday junk because it sounds like it could be a real excuse. It could be the middle of summer and they would find some excuse to spout the same junk...bad company is an understatement...and you would think they might read some reviews to try to make themselves better but I guess they have enough suckers that continue to buy from them that they just dont care...

vote-for1vote-against

@sarisin: this company works many times by taking orders first and then contacting the manufacture of the product in the listing for the amount of orders they need. Which means they order the product after the sale is complete and then wait for the item to arrive at their warehouse so they can mark the packages for shipment to the original order. Also just for everyones info no shipment within the 48 states should ever take longer than 5 business days to reach the customer, so two to three weeks to wait for an order is really quite crazy in todays online market.
