Anyone had one of these? How are they?

vote-for3vote-against

@sstelmak The Meaty Marinara is pretty bawlin...(Good)

vote-for3vote-against

I agree, the Meaty Marinara is really good.

The Creamy Chicken Alfredo is hit or miss - usually it's good, but have received a bad batch here and there.

vote-for2vote-against

I think "family size" refers to the 2 pan deal, so this only feeds 4. Still a good deal if you like their pasta, though!!

vote-for4vote-against

My roommate and I like to drink wine and watch Lost on Tuesdays. This bargain also appeals to us. What wine would go best with three pounds of pasta and a ridiculous amount of breadsticks?

vote-for4vote-against

@agingdragqueen: A nice Chianti and some fava beans, perhaps?

vote-for2vote-against

For 10 bucks it's worth a try!

vote-for1vote-against

This definitely feeds eight people. We've picked it up for group lunches when there were six ladies, and had some leftovers. And we were all full when we left.

I loved the alfredo and the lasagna. Haven't tried the meaty marinara yet.

vote-for1vote-against

@wootificator: an excellent suggestion. As cannibals (we enjoy pasta as a side dish, you see) we have plenty of both at home.

vote-for3vote-against

@debbiedunlap so you're trying to say that six lady meals equals one man meal? I will try to prove that theory tonight...

I never thought that I would be eating Pizza Hut beyond my elementary school 'Book It!' days, but I guess this deal is worth a sampling.

vote-for1vote-against

@kaptainkhaos: LOL...why did you take away your own woot? Bit of self-loathing maybe?

vote-for3vote-against

This is possibly the (mod edit: profanity) fast food garbage you can get. I'd MUCH rather have spaghetti-o's out of a can and some stale bread.

vote-for1vote-against

@raliegh: That account has never purchased from Woot and cannot vote.

vote-for1vote-against

Does anyone know:

Is this good every Tuesday? Or just today for some reason?

Thanks!

vote-for1vote-against

@sirlouie: The promo images on the site are tagged with "Today Only" so I reckon it says what it means.

In for 1.

vote-for1vote-against

None of the pizzahuts near me are participating... makes me a little angry I wasted my time

vote-for1vote-against

Not available in Georgetown, Texas. $18 including a $2.50 delivery fee + figure on at least $2 tip for $20 total. I am going to pass.

vote-for0vote-against

This has been advertised on TV so I am not quite sure how someone feekls this is WOOT worthy. Again, the site has become clogged with companies plying their own wares and not real bargaind.

vote-for1vote-against

@rickpipes: Not everyone sits in front of the television. Some of us sit in front of computer screens, instead.

@rbarger: Sorry it's not available at your Pizza Hut. I think it's wonderful that I can go to Pizza Hut, pick up two pans of pasta + breadsticks, and for $10 feed my family dinner tonight. Add to it that I don't have to cook and that's one terrific deal in my opinion!!

vote-for2vote-against

It looks like yes, it's every Tuesday. I called, and apparently the deal is for two half pans that total 3 lbs. Each pan feeds 2 (according to the website)... so this deal looks like it feeds four (unless four extra people decide that a single breadstick is enough food for them).

In for one for me and my friends. Thanks for the deal and clarifications, @debbiedunlap!

vote-for1vote-against

oops ... just saw @debbiedunlap's comment about it actually feeding 8. Well, I am a healthy eater ... so tonight ... we will see! :)

vote-for5vote-against

Add an order of Stuffed Pizza rollers ($5) and use promo code IX for $5 off $15. It actually dropped my original order by $0.30.

vote-for1vote-against

@capnjb: This promo does not work in Denton, TX

vote-for1vote-against

@sarahkathryn: Sorry Sarah... worked in DC suburbs. Not even sure what they are.... but free is good :)

vote-for1vote-against

Ten bucks? That's a ridiculous price for that much food.

I'd be hard pressed to make that much pasta with sauce for ten bucks, especially if it has meat.

Pizza wars are on!

vote-for0vote-against

Thanks for the code, capnjb! In for one!

vote-for1vote-against

Be aware that this is a "4" serving deal. Two trays of 2 servings a piece and 6 breadsticks. It's not an eight person dinner.

It was pretty good overall...not what I would call a "deal" but it was a fast and decent dinner.

vote-for1vote-against

@thewidup: The kids at the Hut must've made a mistake the last time I ordered this deal, because tonight's serving size was definitely half what it was the last time. Bummer dude.

It was quite delicious, though. Especially liked the lasagna.

vote-for1vote-against

I will second (or third?) the remark that this is a four person deal. Actually, it took only two of my friends and me to polish off the two side-sized pastas (I doubt they were 3 lbs total ... the pans measured maybe 6" x 10" x 1" or so?) and the five breadsticks that came with it. It was pretty tasty, though. We weren't burstingly full, but it was a satisfying meal.

vote-for1vote-against

ARGH! Pacific coast time, and their closed at 11:10pm locally :-( Oh well, there's always next week.

vote-for1vote-against

The Pan is counted in the weight total and in general will feed 4 people. Not a bad deal although I like the Bacon mac'n cheese better(now discontinued). Alfredo is the best, but I suppose that depends on where the chicken comes from! Our chicken that we get is pretty good most of the time. They take forever to make though... Oh yeah I work at Pizza Hut :P

vote-for1vote-against

Glad I found this deal, because I'd be angrier if I paid full price. This stuff is worse than those instant just-add-water-and-nuke type of pastas. It was like biting into a solid brick of salt. They must ship them to stores pre-made and re-heated when ordered. There was also practically no meat in the chicken(less) alfredo and meat(less) marinara.

vote-for1vote-against

@szadeak: hmmm...I think I got 6...or maybe I was wrong? Maybe I didn't eat as many as I thought? I guess this could be a new diet plan. 5 is the new 6. :)

I really don't remember...they went too quickly to count

vote-for1vote-against

@deadlycouncil: Thanks for the info, but please note: the numbers listed are for a serving that's nearly twice that of the other two entrees listed. The meaty marinara numbers are listed for a 619 gram serving .. which is like 1.3 lbs. I'm guessing an actual serving would be about half of that, which makes the numbers fall more into line (the other items have serving sizes of about 300-400 grams).

I went for this yesterday. I'm not a picky eater, but this stuff (from a North Hollywood location) was barely edible. The pasta was so overcooked it was just mush that would break apart when you stabbed it with your fork, making it actually difficult to eat. I switch to a spoon. The Alfredo sauce was milky, not creamy and very runny. The chicken tasted frozen and warmed up. The top layer of the meaty maranara was good, but everything below it was awful. I'd recommend against this "deal" and hit up a local pizzeria which realistically has a lot of similar deals.

vote-for1vote-against

@debbiedunlap: Agreed. I just wish I could get it here. I was all for the lasagna and chicken alfredo for dinner (I had paid $20 for it last week and was excited to get it for $10 this week). I really like the pastas even though I know they aren't the best food choice, health wise, for me.

When they first released this product, the frozen sauce concentrates were shipped in with Stouffer's labels on them. A few months later, they were replaced with Pizza Hut branded ones, yet the taste and nutrition information remained identical. The cheese sauce concentrate, however, came in unmarked boxes.
