That's crazy! I'm tempted to buy it, and I don't even want a TV that big.

vote-for4vote-against

I just did, what the heck!
Got the confirmation email...

vote-for1vote-against

From Bulb America where most things they sell are light bulbs

vote-for1vote-against

@locolive: Yeah, me too. I guess somebody's getting a huge TV for their birthday or some such.

vote-for3vote-against

Also, just placed an order for one. I'm guessing either I'll get an e-mail stating that it was an error, or a bulb is going to show up, and I'll have to go through the process of sending it back and getting a refund... I'm pretty sure they stopped making this model TV 7 years ago.

vote-for1vote-against

The vendor - Bulb America - does not sell tvs. If you go to their website, you will find nothing but bulbs and accessories. No tvs. http://bulbamerica.store.rakuten.com/

vote-for1vote-against

It does list original price as $5k, so has to be the TV right?

vote-for1vote-against

Also note that the tv weighs 200 lbs. Do you think they'll ship that for $6.50?

vote-for3vote-against

Just put in my order and it's protected

vote-for2vote-against

According to the package contents:
Package Contents
WD-73927 73" Projection TV
Remote Control
1 x IR Emitter Cable
Digital Coaxial Audio Cable

How can this be?

vote-for1vote-against

Anybody have positive confirmation yet this is real? Don't want to buy a lightbulb

vote-for1vote-against

What really makes me doubt this is the $6.50 shipping for 188 lbs... too good to be true, right?

vote-for1vote-against

The part number listed is for a bulb ( WD73927).

vote-for0vote-against

take the plunge... If you got the bulb send it back or ask them to send you the promised TV!

The TV is Huge and Old, maybe they are just trying to make some room in their warehouse! :-)

vote-for2vote-against

Just bought one too - can't wait for my big TV :)

vote-for2vote-against

I just ordered one...it has to be a TV, the website sells bulbs and TVs.
I don't even need one but dang it's cheap.

vote-for1vote-against

In for one too. But i am thinking it is too good to be true........

vote-for2vote-against

Gone! Rakuten website says "no longer available."

vote-for1vote-against

@shaneb0422: The website has NO tvs on it. All bulbs. Plus again guys the shipping is $6.50. It's a 73" TV. I've payed more shipping for a T-shirt. I know we want to believe it but it just can't be the TV.

vote-for1vote-against

The vendor sells bulbs for the TV so I guess they found a source for old stock of this 2006 TV. One description I found from Mitsubishi says,
"The 62-inch WD-62927 and 73-inch WD-73927 have a 250GB hard drive capable of recording up to 25 hours of HD content. Each comes with two HDTV tuners, enabling the user to record a high definition program while watching another channel or other content."
A 250GB HD? Hmm...

vote-for2vote-against

The deal is dead. If someone did order one of these please post back if you actually got a TV and not the bulb. Just curious if this was legit or not. Thanks.

vote-for2vote-against

This is stupid, but I bought one anyway. Its too cheap not to take the chance. Its also too good to be true, but worth the risk, which is zero.

vote-for1vote-against

Seems bogus - already "sold out"

vote-for1vote-against

LOL I almost posted this earlier but I figured it was a typo because the vendor sells bulbs as someone else said. Please one of you who did buy it report back - I came soooooo close to pulling the trigger just 'cause. I wouldn't even know where to put a TV that size.

I'm dying to know if it's the TV or just the bulb.

vote-for2vote-against

Just tried to order one and it said "sorry - the quantity you've ordered is unavailable or has been changed. So I guess they were either clearing out a couple of old tv's or it was an error, either way, damn, could have used a nice big outside tv!

vote-for2vote-against

We bought one. I hope its the tv because this is a totally awesome deal.

vote-for2vote-against

I pulled the trigger on this one.. They better honor the deal as well cuz I have screenshots of the transaction lol.

vote-for1vote-against

I will report back as soon as I receive my TV...or don't receive it.

vote-for1vote-against

Yeah deal is dead now after i ordered on also, with Google Protection. I'll check back here in a week or two for confirmation.

vote-for2vote-against

I just sent this deal to a friend. I hope it is legitimate.

vote-for2vote-against

Well they are no longer availiable. lol

vote-for2vote-against

i told as many as i could, well see used paypal and theyll be getting the bulb back if thats the case i guarantee u!!!

vote-for2vote-against

I've gotten a "deal" like this from this website before. Except they sent me something completely random instead and it took forever to get a refund.

vote-for3vote-against

https://www.purelandsupply.com/wd73927-mitsubishi-dlp-tv-bulbs.html?gclid=CPOTyefN7rYCFQ9eQgodyH4ADg

Considering the parts number is for a replacement bulb and costs about the same as what they are marketing this "deal" for, I would say they made an error :x

vote-for2vote-against

a word of hope they said it was97% off of $5000 + dollars

vote-for2vote-against

Used to be BUY COM.
TV may be real, but their selling site says is "currently unavailable"
So... I would love it but did not trust BUY COM and do not trust this, although it may be the new owner's "clean out the premises and stop paying rent" sale.

Looks like the last one. This deal is now dead. Early shoppers may have gotten a really great deal!

vote-for2vote-against

I checked the deal about 15 minutes ago, when some people were saying it was a dead deal, and it was still in stock.
Just refreshed, and it's sold out. If it was indeed true, we missed out. :/

For anyone who does in fact get confirmation that it's the actual TV, let us know just how much we missed out

vote-for2vote-against

Just sold out. Must have only had a few or been a mistake.
I was scared to buy it LOL.

vote-for4vote-against

Whether bulbs or TV's, I guess we can expect to see a bunch of them on ebay shortly. LOL

vote-for2vote-against

I should had ordered 2... lol

vote-for3vote-against

I am in for 2. I have screen shots of every page. About two years ago something like this was on the news. I think it was Best Buy and they made good on every order. Another company fought and did not honor the orders. It is a 50/50 gamble with a pretty big payoff if I win.

Sorry, this product is no longer sold at the Rakuten.com website

vote-for2vote-against

@mamajamerson: Sorry, this product is no longer sold at the Rakuten.com website

vote-for2vote-against

Bulb America sells TVs under the hot deals tab. I bought one too. It will go downstairs in our game room. It think its such a good price because the technology is so dated. Either that or its really an old refurbished model.

Looks like it sold out.

vote-for2vote-against

Rakuten did this to me less than a year ago advertised an item for 30.00 when it was well over a hundred and fifty bucks.
They honored my buy of the item at 30.0 and sent me the item free shipping it weighed over 50 lbs.
You do have to complain loudy and call them right away.
On this current item they pulled the ad already "Sorry, this product is no longer sold at the Rakuten.com website"
My ad was changed to original price.
Hope this helps.

vote-for2vote-against

nhopespsut: great, now you got my hopes up

vote-for-3vote-against

From my research these tv's are lemons, they may last 30days or3 years but theyre junk and are only 1080i

vote-for4vote-against

For $10 more you can get a Dell 486 with Windows 3.1 and a signed Ryan Leaf jersey.

vote-for3vote-against

@toragin: woot has $5 s/h for crap 2 times the weight...just sayin'
