Ugh, this again. The "up to" means that even if only one item fits the discount criteria, they can use it. They weren't a deal last time, or the time before that, or the time before that, or the time before that, or the time before that ... well, you get my drift.
Generic ink/toner is like everywhere, so comparison shop first. Even with the 5% off, I've found them higher than my usual source (Monoprice).
I like 'em. Will use them again. I don't get the hate.

@secretagentwoman: The hate is that for many of us, they aren't cheaper than other places even with the discount. So it's not exactly a deal ... which is what this is supposed to be - deals.woot.com, not regularpricestuff.woot.com ...

Bah, I get this e-mail at least daily, sometimes 3x/day.
I routinely get the generic HP cartidges that I need for around $6 each from eBay sellers. They are over $11 here, brand name is over $20. No thanks.
@horkdoom: In defense, ink for our previous Canon(it died with power supply troubles a week ago- ink did NOT kill it) was a much lower price than what Office Depot wants for their generic. And a few people having bad results, I understand, but the mass voting it down?

Based on the history, this is SPAM. Plain and simple. To find the source of the spam, start looking towards the two commenters who are defending it, when this is CLEARLY not a "Deal" worthy of the deals front page, IMOHO. They offer no reason this is constantly being spammed when the deal sucks. It's 5% not 50%, what a joke. Not even cheaper than most generic ink sites' REGULAR prices. wtf? Obviously 100s of people voted it down for a reason.

They don't even have Epson NX110.
I buy my ink from 4 Inkjets. For grins and giggles I chose NX100 to compare.
On 4 Inkjets 3 cartridges w/ a coupon code for 10% off I will pay $18.45.
On LAInks for 3 cartridges w/ a coupon code for FREE SHIPPING instead of 5% (3.95 for the former, .97c for the latter) I pay $19.47.
$1.02 more on LAInk. Except LAInk doesn't carry NX110.
PS--- Use the code "JUICY" for FREE SHIPPING instead of "WOOTSAVE5". You save more. ;)
@narfcake: I use monoprice for all my cable needs, I never once thought of going to them for ink and toner.
woot is just making money. Thats how they keep prices so cheap. If a sponsored deal sucks who cares when you get the real stuff for cheaps.
