lol turducken. It's a southern thing, I wouldn't understand ;-)

Is it odd that it's the "Pork rice" part that's killin it for me? Other than that sounds tasty.

Sounds similar to turduchen available to Sams Club members for $56.86. Even with the 10% upcharge for non-members, they have a better price...Same company, Big Easy Foods.

@vladistov: Yea, always wanted to try it but you can find turkey @$0.24 per pound. For the holidays it just makes sense to buy more turkeys and donate them.

Make your own for approx. 1/2 the cost and you get to use your favorite stuffing. Not as difficult as you think. Ours looked like it was on steroids but was delicious. Hardest part was putting the bird back together. And this wasy, you'd still have money left to donate :)

@sixdolla: I have to say I agree. That is absolutely the wrong rice choice.

@buyerk: Do you have a good recipe, preferably with a great Cajun style stuffing?

Can you deep fry this thing?

vote-for3vote-against

@izzyizzo: only if it's fresh. never deep fry a frozen bird. i bet it tastes extra delicious deep fried..hmm..

@w00tgurl - I wouldn't deep fry a frozen bird, but is there any reason I shouldn't deep fry it if it is thawed?

vote-for3vote-against

@rpstrong: As long as it's completely thawed not a problem.

vote-for2vote-against

@rpstrong: yes, i meant fresh or thawed out just not frozen :)

@w00tgurl - Thanks. Now excuse me while I go test some windshields...

@jmcachran: Not at all. The pork and rice dressing is something that I would do, being a former childhood resident of the lower central parishes where the deepest Cajun country is. Boudin (pork and rice sausage) is often removed from its casing to make a dressing down here.
