Husband loves this mouse. Originally bought it for me, I liked it for gaming, but size-wise it's awkward for me, and makes my wrist hurt over time. Great performance, though!
Just an FYI, if you're only interested in the mouse-- you'll pay about 6.25 for their discount (8-10 day) shipping service!
Still, even so, not a bad price on this gaming mouse.
I hate this stupid mouse. I paid less for it about a year ago, and even that was too much. No other mouse is so jittery. I'm not talking about the reasonably high DPI. No, if you try to draw a diagonal line across the screen, the cursor will randomly jump up to 8 pixels to the left and right. Selecting a small thing becomes guess work with this kind of noise. Even cheap mice aren't this bad, and this is supposed to be a gaming mouse. I kept thinking this was a driver issue, but then I finally gave up and bought a Razer product from Moofi. No regrets there.
@lump1: Did you check the bottom of the mouse where the laser is to see if it was clean of dust, hair, etc? All it takes is a single hair in the wrong place and your mouse will do exactly what you're describing. Used to happen to me a lot when I lived with a cat.
i haven't used the mouse but i haven't ever heard of a professional or even hardcore (i mean 8 hours a day training for a pro-scene) gamer use microsoft mouses. I see a lot of Razer, Steel Series, the occasional Logitech. I rarely see the sidewinder. I understand it might be great, but if the gaming proscense endorses and uses mice that aren't in this family of mouse i don't see the reason to not drop about 10$ more and get a refurb razer or steel series that have about +3000 / +4000 dpi on them. To me it just doesn't seem like it would be useful to use a mouse with that amount of dpi, its about 1200 dpi above the usual $5 logitech usb mouse which is around 800 dpi (says on the package that my family had bought a bit back). Infact it makes some sense that a mouse with this amount of DPI might start jumping and not going exactly straight with the slightest bit of dirt on the mouse. I'm not saying the mouse is bad, i'm saying the way its described doesn't really semm fit for hard play.
